Why haven’t the Harrisons published more of these performances?? This is awesome, sounds marvelous

Wow! This version is much more atmospheric than the 'Live in Japan' album version. Apparently the engineer involved said George mixed the album and didn't like having much reverb on it or crowd noise. So what we got was a very dry, close mic'd album which isn't as emotional as it could have been. Hopefully one day Olivia and Dhani will do a box set containing a version with the tracks re-mixed in a way more similar to this.

What a great performance of a great song by the greatest artist to ever perform. And Eric Clapton sure didn't hurt it either. I write this with tears of joy flowing down my face. BTW I'm 82 years old.

Pigs was Roger calling the pig back to the stage. He was looking upward not downward. Wray Ellis was stoned when he saw that. The spitting was Money. If it had been in either the Animals or Wish You Were Here set he would have never came back on stage. Those who claim it was Pigs you were either high or on LSD. The incident at 0:52 was the spitting incident. Hence afterward Roger said "Cos there's a few a-holes down the front doesn't mean everyone should be upset". David Gilmour was not happy with the performance, in fact they had many mistakes that night and to finish a second tour in a row with a bad gig was why The Wall was made. This show solidified it.

New controversial thought from someone who was there, the whole length of the show, we were early and stayed until they carried Nick away with his snare drum, as close as could be: We were right at the barricades, no one in front of us, in front of David, and poring thru my thoughts, It happened during the outro to Pigs, as I clearly remember Roger saying something to the efect of "Come here son, all is forgiven", and one wouldn't have heard that while a loud song was playing. That intro or outro playng clearly wasn't Money in 7/4 time. The song playing wasn't Money, listen to the tape of it. Admittedly, we wuz blitzed, but..... Sad thing is, I had a Nakimichi tape recorder we snuck in in our camera cases, and recorded the show ourselves, and sadly the tapes were lost when my BFF died - I searched his room for them and alas. So I can't prove shit except whats in my (stoned) memory banks. ADDED - the spit did NOT happen during Money.

You may already know this, but an excellent quality recording of this entire gig is widely available, and yes I have it. The recording does indeed include the portion you mention with Roger very clearly saying "All is forgiven," likely right after the spit. You're also right that this was during the jam section for "Pigs." If you don't already have the recording, look for probably the best edited (and corrected for pitch and minor audio glitches) version titled humorously "Who Was Trained Not To Spit on the Fan."

one of the eric clapton solo feel god........... Best of the best guitarists... such a solo performance in the 20th century... is a master guitar solo that can't come out again... That's when Eric Clapton must have felt like he was climbing over the clouds... Picking's touch and heart... Relaxed... A historical sad solo that comes out when you become one body
