It was a rough ride. Myself and my engineer had to jump from the trailing foot board (engineers side) as engine was burning & cab filled with smoke. Burnt hair off of right arm (I don’t remember how or when) and jammed the linear nerve in my left arm. The main thing is we lived to tell the story! Makes you realize what’s important so in that it was a blessing.

@@SDNX I was indeed. We brought it down Cinnci and destined for Burnside. We were some of the former Danville employees whom were forced to make the move to Burnside in 2012. It bothered me for a while but I was able to get back to work within 2-3 months. I decided it to talk about it for a while but I want to ensure when I see these posts that the story is kept straight and the danger careless drivers put train crews and themselves in. That crossing has been removed as of last year. I’m still playing with trains for a living!
