The owners are dumber than a box of rocks. There is a 7-11 around the corner yet their prices are convenience level high prices. Where they were initially on keeamoku is upper class but downtown is middle class whoch is why rents are lower yet they inflate the prices higher than 2 hmarts and palama close by and ALL grocers, including koream. Palama express is just one block away too. Inside they have an overpriced korean cosmetic counter no one who has a brain cell would buy from since better pricing and more variety can be bought online. Then they have a weird shop im the back selling worst fugly clothes that look like from a fleabag thrift store when you have Ross next door. No one in their right mind would shop for groceries at their store with high prices except to grab an occasional convevenience store drink or ready to go meal if they didnt pass 7-11 first. Downtown does not need them at their inflated prices when you can shop for koream groceries nearby at 3 other locations including palama express at more reasonable/normal prices. They will go out of business soon with their current model and pricing. They better lower prices or start lots of sales.

I was going to say that burger is so cheap and that's a terryaki flavored burger Here in Vegas the burgers costs about $9 a burger and not just classic A classic could cost about $7 But I'm bummed we don't have cheap burgers they raised the price on burgers but the combo would be the best deal if you get the fries and it comes with the drink for about $11

You need to thaw it slowly overnight.. if you thaw it fast to temp it gets oily and fishy. Check out @meatnbone for fish thawing instructions.. yeah you can do cold water.. but that’s probably why it tastes of shit

sing to me tastes better but the parking situation is worse (i know there's a muni parking across the street but stairwell always smells like piss and i cant hold my breath that long). royal kitchen is really good and has great parking and more variety in manapua flavors. sing also has better pork hash and probably my favorite half moon. i really wish they would bring back the yip jai. that was the best and i don't know of anywhere else in hawaii that makes it. i once asked but i think you have to pre order a lot (like more than a dozen i think)

I haven’t tried either but I would choose the royal kitchen first. I like less bun and shredded meat.

Sing Cheong Yuan The best.. more meat , better flavor, bread is most and flavor full... They brought Royal to work one day and I was completely disappointed... The pork hash is the bomb also!!

i'm just happy they are both still around after covid. we lost plenty of good places. go to both and enjoy what we have here in Hawaii.

No comparison, Sing Cheong Yuan. The last time I had Royal Kitchen, it was way too sweet. The meat was so-so, but the bun was really sweet and too dense.

They both are delicious but we have to agree with Chad the Royal Kitchen is better because I just as he said their manapua is less fattening and less sweet while still gives the amazing flavor. The size of the product shouldn’t matter in my view, we are battling over which one is better not which one is more valuable🤷🏻‍♂️
