is there a frame or a layer limit in callipeg? I am looking to switch off procreate cause it only allows me to do 130 layers
@kdsketch3 күн бұрын
Callipeg has made a LOT of improvements since I made this video - they should have specs on their website but the more powerful your iPad the more layers and frames you can have without lag. This and rough animator are my two fave apps for iPad :)

I really like your animation style, it’s really fun and unique, I’d watch a show with this style, and if I may add my take on what you’ve described, I’m no top tier expert on ghosts and entities, but I do find the subject of them very interesting, and going off of stuff I’ve read on their supposed behaviors, I’d say there’s a good chance it’s your grandad, visiting. It seems like it dosent have malicious intent, though I’d be careful.

I have purchased a Huion model based on your recommendation, after hours looking at reviews, comparisons, about Wacom, XP Pen Artist Pro 16 (2nd Gen) etc. At the end is huion pro 16 2.5k. Do you recommend a screen protector or is it really not necessary? If so, can you give me some indication? Thank you. The factor that convinced me was the colors and the 300ppt /rps.
@kdsketch11 күн бұрын
Hope you like it! Tbh I don’t think I press particularly hard on the screen when I draw but after using my tablets every day for years I’d say a screen protector is worth it - mini scratches do build up over time and if you keep the screen in good condition you’ll get a better price if you decide to sell it when/if you upgrade later on. I also don’t have to worry so much about wearing down the pen nibs either if there’s a screen protector 👍 glad the video helped!

What bothers me is that I haven't found anything in grease pencil that's similar to 'smart guide' in other apps, especially for the edges of the camera view. I mean, if I want to snap the edge of an object to the edge of the camera view, I can't do that. Even in this tutorial, you didn't show us how your reference image ended up fitting exactly in the camera view. I have searched every Blender tutorial but couldn't find this feature anywhere.
@kdsketch16 күн бұрын
I selected my reference image in the top right panel and resized it in edit mode to fit the camera view :)
@this406915 күн бұрын
@@kdsketch thanks for the reply. But still, I guess, it doesn't work perfectly, right? I mean, it doesn't snap when it fits the camera view if I'm not wrong.
@kdsketch15 күн бұрын
@this4069 I don’t tend to use it because I’ll make my backgrounds larger to account for camera movement. Here’s a link to snap guides for blender though docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.81/scene_layout/object/editing/transform/control/snap.html#:~:text=The%20Snap%20menu%20(also%20available,%2C%20selection%20or%20the%20grid).&text=Snaps%20the%20currently%20selected%20object,to%20the%20nearest%20grid%20point. Hope it helps!

Hi KD Sketch, I absolutely love your animation content! Your work is truly inspiring. I'm very interested in learning 2D animation and would greatly appreciate any guidance or tips you could share. If you have any resources or advice for a beginner like me, it would be incredibly helpful. If possible, I would love to have a conversation with you to learn more about your process and experience. Thank you so much for considering my request!

you can make new layers in the panel on the right (looks like a looped green cable) with the + and - buttons and reorder them with the ^ and v arrow buttons there.
