Nowadays, people usually play on a modified ROM that actually doesn't crash. The crash fix is not intentional, though - the modified ROM changes the score display so you can actually keep track of your score past 999999 - before, you had to manually calculate your score. This change also happens to fix the crash. Blue Scuti deliberately used the original ROM to get the crash, but most records are set using the modified version. Alex Thatch, who was briefly mentioned in this video, was the first to 10 million points (actually got 16 million in that game... almost doubling the score WR). He, and probably some others, are currently trying for the Rebirth on this modified ROM. Starting from a higher level than normally possible, it's already been done. Starting from 18 or 19, he's gotten real close already. Honestly, it's going to happen sooner rather than later.

Like im a PC player and even if I had a Xbox and a Play station (got a PS2 currently mostly for DVD films) I can´t play Pokemon, Nintendo had years to put something on the PC but they have not. Palword is the only option.

10:15 I have to point this out; at least in the US, idk about Japan but Japan is MUCH more defensive about copyright for 1. and 2. in the US we have the squint test where if they're too similar from a squint, as in you could mistaken it would fail. The small amount I've looked into Japan has VERY strict copyright laws; as thus if something does look a bit too similar you could land yourself in hot water and fast.

In my opinion you are being bias as a content creator and you are not looking at it from the developers stand point what so ever. a. A bug like that is not really game breaking if a youtuber is doing it just to get a video out 1 week early however if they do it for multiple weeks in one day then that would be game breaking as it means your farming all your weeklys early. b. They said it is not a exploit because its not. It is a bug. it can kind of be taken advantage of by doing multiple weeks in a day but then you can't redo old weeklys to actually farm money. c. After it started to bring up drama they said then that it is a exploit and noone from this point forwards should be doing this or they will be banned.... They was taking normal descalation aproach to resolve the matter at hand. d. After the youtuber made a big deal of the issue and was told not to do it then they went to make a video showing off the issue. If i was the game dev/owner of the game then yes i would try to remove the video or ban them as they went again the rules. e. As far as getting bugs fixed... Video's can make issues occur but does not fix the issues. When you find a bug in a game you are suppose to report them to the developers so they can be fixed. Also having an unfair advantage in most games will get you banned. f. If you read the first few messages they said he found out about it because he apparently asked if there would be a way he could get access to it early because he said he would not be able to be on at the time. They even said they could try to do exceptions for stuff like that if you request it. Finding out about a bug and being allowed to use it on request should not really be a issue because its on request. When the developers found out that he was still using the bug they should have told him to stop. Having a developer actually willing to help out content creators still get out content when there is a issue involed is actually a good thing for the creators. He mad a big issue out of it and that is what made it considered an exploit and in my opinion he should be banned if he then goes and abuses it for content.

Why make the video when to just going to bring more attention to the exploit? Devs have enough on their plates currently than to be dealing with a minor issue that doesn't need to be dramatised. Also at present having a higher level has no effect to players aside from very few cosmetics.

While Legends of Runeterra indeed doesn't have a large audience, primary reason why it's struggling financially is that it's very free-to-play friendly. You get tons of cards for free and you can buy any cards directly with free in-game currency, which is pretty easy to acquire, unlike in games like Hearthstone that only give you randomised packs. Game is really good, art, music, mechanics and lore are all fantastic, so it's really sad to see such great game struggling. But business is business, nothing we can do about it 😢 P.S Also Legends of Runeterra is primary inspiration for upcoming MMO.

This is not a big deal. (For me at least.) People commonly forget about different time zones. A lot of games with weekly challenges based on computer clock. Its not fixable, the “fix” would be having the weekly challenges be uploaded via server but that would make it difficult as it would only use one timezone. He probably asked to not share it because it could be abused by others to rapidly increase their profit in game. Either way I still enjoy playing phas.

I'm curious so anyone who lives in an earlier time zone is exploiting this? And everyone who lives in California or whatever is screwed because they cant get access as soon as others?

Another thing to note is there are something like 60 weekly challenges and they are on a rotation so when Phsyco said its far stretched for something we have already played he literally means everyone has already played this challenge once before and all of the youtubers already have 1 video with this challenge so its not like its something new he is getting to make before everyone else.

Stop playing a game because a content creator waits until the challenge to come out before releasing his video. Who cares when he records it. It would be a different issue if it were released before the challenge released. Phasmo is an extremely buggy game and it always was. Sounds like some nobody getting mad for no reason. It's a niche game with a niche audience.

I think Baron came out worse in this drama than the Phasmo devs in this exchange, to be honest. I don't really care about the squabbles between content creators, so I'm going to nope out of that part of this drama, but I don't think Baron came off very sympathetic. He had basically gotten the fairness he wanted, but instead decided to take a nuke to his relationship the devs because the other parties didn't think this was a big of a deal as he thought. Phasmo is a casual game you play with your friends, not some competitive game where you need to ensure that there are no cheaters on a leaderboard or a way to cheat yourself to some in-game progress. With that in mind, The decision just make the weekly/daily system pick dailies and weeklies from a list in a deterministic way, is in my opinion entirely fine for what it sets out to do. In order to sync dailies and weeklies between players, the date is used. Again, this is just fine for 99% of all players. This system is "exploitable" sure, but it is working as intended. Which is obviously what they're trying to communicate. My best bet is that this has been known since the Christmas event patch dropped in December. As you might recall, the devs broke the weekly, when that patch dropped. The system forced you to complete the challenge mode on the unreleased map (Point Hope) and they had to issue an update to fix this, basically confirming that dailies and weeklies were a client side issue, as it required a code update to the client side software. I too think that the devs should have been stricter with this from the get go, instead of this wishy washy "ok, but don't tell anyone" stance. That being said, I don't really fault them for removing Baron from the program, after Baron was told what would happened if he made a video about it and he did anyways.
