which models and years please?

I’ve personally owned and ridden many different models of Triumph plus every other manufacturer you could name and the reliability of all motorcycles is very similar….I’m guessing your claim of repair costs north of 4K is not in pounds sterling 😧😧

@@motoboxuk It’s in SGD. Still a rip off given that these parts are prone to failure. I differ in your opinion that the reliability of all bikes are very similar. Jap bikes are way way superior in reliability.

Looks like you weren't watching/listening....lights on are Neutral, Side Stand and ABS (flashing), comes with remainder of BSA factory 4 year warranty until 2027

I was watching & I could plainly see an ABS light ,a neutral light , & what appears to be an engine management warning light . On my fuel injected motorcycle , the engine management light only shows up ,if there is fault detected in the engine system. When I buy a new bike I junk the warranty after the first service ,once I have sussed out ,it’s not a Friday afternoon lemon & service & take all the responsibility for servicing & repairs myself . I do the same for for used or ex demo bikes from the dealers ,with 3 month warranties . I am not impressed with long term warranties ,they usually tie punters to dealer servicing & repairs . So of no real value to me , I am only prepared to pay what any bikes value is to me . The bike is only a BSA in name only ,so not a genuine BSA & yet to prove itself over a long period . Although it is not a bad effort ,but still too much of a gamble ,over 3 grand in todays financial climate .

@@maskedavenger2578 As I said previously you’ve clearly not listened to my commentary or watched closely enough. The amber warning light that stays on says ‘Side Stand’ it’s warning the rider that the stand is still engaged….the EML can be seen and then goes out when the engine starts as it is supposed to do. @@motoboxuk The side stand shouldn’t need a warning ,as the bike should cut out when put into gear if it’s still down ,our cut out when the clutch is let out . That’s an odd situation when an engine management light comes on & then goes out when engine is started , that is usually a job for an oil light . Engine management lights don’t usually come on at all ,unless there is an issue in the system. Very weird situation . I don’t need to find another bike as I own too many already . But if I see something that takes my eye , I might take a punt at the right price of course .👍

Engine management lights always illuminate when ignitions are turned on and then go out when the bike/car/lorry/van etc etc are started….how would you know the warning light is working if it doesn’t illuminate before going out to show all is well? If your bike or cars EML doesn’t come on and then go out when the engine is started you need to get it checked.

It isn't, and the BSA-looking bits are fake. It's a Mahindra.

@@skymningforelsket1302found a 2006 for $4,500 12k miles. Is this a good deal? Are they easy to maintain? Im not mechanically savvy. Thanks.

@@jonnyliveslife $4500 is about the correct price for that, if everything is in nice condition. $3,800 would be "cheap", and $5,600 would probably be "too much" in the current market. You might have to budget new tires and new battery for it. I find them easy to work on, but I've done a lot of work on bikes. You need special tools to torque the headrace bearings and to remove the camshafts.

You use the key on side panel which pops the rear up then you pull backwards. It's not hinged, the whole seat comes off. Not the easiest thing to do either.

So you had a fuel leak and your world collapsed? A poorly fixed hose clamp is more powerful than god!
