@@2T2R2 Nope, they are sloped at the front so the pillion can angle their legs down for the foot pegs. Yes they are symetrical so you can mount them how you like. However, with the panniers mounted the correct way it aids air flow. What was that you were saying about glasses...lol

I mount them the way I do because that way they align better with the line of the exhaust and seat. It just works better for me. And let's be honest, do you really need to worry about airflow when the bike is doing 47hp and my avarage speed while touring is 30mph? Well... I'm personally not worried about that at all |Art

@@2T2R2 At the end of the day you mount them how you like it is your bike. If you just potter around and never take a pillion. It is your needs you have to suit not mine. The less power you have the more important air flow is. For example I used to have a 2015 Honda Forza scooter to get to work,15 bhp. I was mocked by a colleague because I had spent the money and bought the genuine Honda box and he had bought a far cheaper one. Anyway the Forza Box is sculptured the cheaper box while a good make was not. We had a race down the motorway. Once we got over 65 mph my bike started to pull away. His top speed was 5 mph slower than mine. We swapped boxes then his bike was faster than mine. For a short commute to work I suggest the fuel consumption difference would be minimal. However, for a 40 mile blast down the motorway I suggest you would notice it. Also the worse the aerodynamics the more you are affected by cross winds. A high performance motorbike can just power through poor aerodynamics, however it is still affected by crosswinds. If you look at the top box on my old scooter you can see the aerodynamic design rather than just a slab of plastic on the back. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/orF8obZpmqzednU.html

Used the Bt-45 on a CB750, 3 sets. Now a BT-46 first set (Moto Guzzi V7), with about 3 mm tread left. Officially allowed to keep driving till 1.6 mm. Total miles driven so far is 13000, that is 20900 km. I guess I can go to all the way to 15000 miles without problems. But I see some cracking between the thread. It is time to swap them for new pair. BT-46 are lovely tires. Maybe I drove to many moments without correct tire pressure. To low tire pressure that is.

Only a year late to this but I've just watched your full NC500 series and loved every episode. I passed my test in April and bought a bike (Triumph T120 Black) in May. I'm hoping to get a short camping trip in before the end of September (NO MIDGES 🙂) - to be honest I didn't really fancy the NC500 as it is so popular but you've probably changed my mind as you've made it much more appealing. Love your attitude and approach. Maybe see you on the road sometime. Slainte, Rab.

Fuck it, ride, have fun, have a bottle of wine on the beach, or don't ;) Make it yours and then you'll have a story to tell! |Artur

Well first of all... It's an original poncho from Peru, from alpaca wool. It's natural, Eco friendly, it's damn comfy, it keeps the warmth inside, and water outside (yeah, it's water repellent!). It's multifunctional - it's a coat, it's a blanket, it's a pillow, it's a towel, it's a parasol, it's just amazing! If you still don't have one, you need one in your life. @@2T2R2 i can see all that and if I was on a Llama in Peru or a camel in Australia it'd be my go to piece of kit, but on a motorbike in Scotland, in the wet and wind it just doesn't do anything. @2T2R2
@2T2R2 Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your questions! ;) Mods are mainly cosmetics, painting, wrapping the exhaust, changing the indicators, bar end mirrors... We've also added a heated seat and grips, better solution for our UK weather. Top speed? Hell, no idea, probably around 65mph, hard to tell as the speed on it wasn't the best. It has 5 gears, so that's good as well. Will it fit a taller rider? Well, to be quite honest, I wouldn't recommend it, jumping from a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 back to this, after couple hours my knees started to hurt. Not the best option, but if you're fit and up to a challenge, go for it. Overall it was a great little bike, I kinda miss it sometimes...

It's actually PL9051 from GIVI, you are correct, our mistake. I've chosen these ones as they leave the suspension alone, and mount to the frame, not the suspension bolt, which was crucial for me - easier to take off and get back to original look. |Artur

I'm a little worried the BT46 might give it a look I don't really want. I like the tires that look a little more "off road" even though they might not be.
