There’s more than enough room to extend the platforms to full-length. So why can’t the MTA just do that? In fact, there are more stations than you think on the MNR and LIRR that are like that. If all platforms were long enough for all trains, then passengers wouldn’t have to pay attention to which car they enter to get off and selective door operation would no longer be necessary.

2012 is when the new haven line started getting the new M8s, by that point the M7 had been in service for a years already

41:09 I absolutely love this shot because it gives off this really mystical vibe with how the train you see in front of you is 6317 and its Shoreliner set, but yet in that reflection, you see an M3A which within the part of the clip played in this video, you don't see at all other than that. I could almost pretend that it was actually the ghosts of the long-extinct M1As. You can't see them on the rails in front of you with your own eyes, but through the reflections, you can sense their presence.

R.I.P CDOT Shoreliner 4 Cab Car 6222. CDOT Shoreliner 4 Cab Car 6221 is now a unique and the last survivor CDOT Shoreliner 4 Cab Car. Cab Car 6222 and many other cars were scrapped following the 2013 incident. Out of curiosity why is Cab Car 6314 your favorite Cab Car?

My Favorite of these units is 6203 because 1. Its name has "Danbury" in it, and when I lived in Connecticut, I lived next to the Danbury Branch, and 2. It still has the old look with the CT logo on the Conductor's side. Never was a fan of the logo being on the front door.

Ummmm…. Excuse me, Connecticut Department of Transportation is not CDOT due to confusion of Colorado DOT, it is now CTDOT officialy known as CT Rail
