When I was in college, we used to go to Lake Erie. We would call it dreary Erie. We would have dead fish bites in the fish that were floating on top of the polluted water and not think a thing about it. That was in the early 80s hopefully it’s cleaner now.

My only brief great lakes experience was worse then anything I've seen on an ocean anywhere, waves smashing to the shore and exploding at least 70' high, probably higher. totally opposite and freezing cold

You picked the right time of the year. I grew up learning to swim in the St Lawrence at Ogdensburg. Lucky the water temp hit 64 this time of year. The lake beaches are the best!

We had 1 off the square when I was growing up in Denton, Tx. I believe Beth Marie’s, used to be on the sq. Now S. Of town still has one ! Native Texan. Great State !!! Great videos !
