I remember I was driving my ski boat on glassy water when I saw a boat full of bikini women driving up behind me. I got the throttle and got up to maybe 50, which is close to my boat's top speed and is really cooking on water. She hit her throttle and blew by me. Had to be doing 80+. I saw the engine as she went by... Merc 350 on a flat bottom bass boat. Lol.

Fastest I’ve ever been on the water is 110 mph. And that was on the ocean in a 50’ twin engine cat.

That's actually how I describe driving a high-speed boat. Yaw and roll are on the steering wheel and throttle. Pitch and speed on the throttle, trim, and jackplate. Now, balance a couple thousand pounds on an area that is 6x12 inches with those levers.
