Thank you for your excellent coverage of NHRA (among other series) and a huge THANK YOU for not speculating and tossing out names and scenarios you "think" might happen. You report the facts and that is very refreshing these days.

The beginning of your video shows Force signing autographs. I have still have an autograph by From the day he won his first championship at The World Finals in Pomona in 1990.

I think I’m gonna have to slow this down to half speed. Next time you might try slowing your speech down, then edit the video with those slowed down clips.
A Huge congratulations to Van Sant on his first career win

When I saw the wreck it immediately reminded me of Dale Earnhardt. I am so relieved to hear about any progress regarding John Force. He was so nice to me when I was a kid standing outside his pit to get his autograph at Bandimere like 15 -20 years ago. I still have it hanging up in my room, it was a picture of him with the old castrol car. On or off the track John makes the world a better place

I honestly thought this was an Emplemon video. Apart from the quick talking which I still understood, I loved the video and it was really interesting and informative. I can’t wait for another :)

It's time for John to step away from the drivers seat while he still has a bell to ring.

the change to 1000ft for the top fuel classes for safety is good for the sport. with the speeds increasing so much and the increased possibility for parts failures at the top end of the track the limits of the parts and the physics of speeds involved dictate that we shorten the distance to prevent the tragediesand increase safety as much as can be done with this one change. the lower power classes don't have quite as much stresses and don't push the limits as much but still deal with the same dangers. only not as severe as the top fuel classes. safety concerns have to be addressed in any motorsports. look at NASCAR for example the Crash that killed Dale Earnheart. caused many safety changes there as well as what happened in other top teir m0otorsports categories over all. strengthening the chassis and cages as well and the many safety devices introduced in every class of motorsport have decreased fatality and injury types as a result. fewer injuries and fatalities are the result of the research and understanding of the physics of the different types of crashes incurred in all event types. so now motorsports of all types are relatively safer than ever before. I remember when I first started Drag racing there were fewer safety devices available or even conceived of at that ti,e. over the years there have been many safety practices introduced. racing is inherantly dangerous by its very nature, and the safer we can make it the better and still have an exciting sport for spectators. to watcha good race that is safer is still fun to watch and being aware that it is safer for the drivers as well and the crowd can only be good for the sport. ev en street driven cars are the safest they have ever been and almost all the safety features are derived from racing. only airbags are excluded from racing fir reasons...

It was said that they had to take 320 ft. Out of the track to stop these machines before hitting the sand traps. Can somebody build a track that is 1320 with enough room to stop these insane in the membrane cars. The speed I would guess would be in the 360 to 370 mph range?

Great content and informative, but you talk way too fast. Youll notice that reputable documentaries slow down and enunciate. Again, great content though!

Wonder if they ever tried something that motorcycles have and that is a slipper clutch (also known as back-torque limiter), it prevents the rear tires from locking in the even of an engine stopping or slowing to quickly. It is super simple tech.

I was there in englishtown for that crash. I was 12-13. Definitely was extremely sad and weird. I think pretty much everyone understood that crash was fatal when it happened and it was very sad walking out of the stands after that.

If i died in a race car, at a race track, I would be so pissed if they cancelled the event. Mop me up off the track and get it on. Show must go on.
