Another wet start by Jetcat....These tiny Turbojets guzzle huge quantities of kerosine, you'd be surprised just how much....🤔😏😏😳🇬🇧

This weirdly gives you a sense of scale, if this tiny little thing is powerful enough to make this possible, it just makes something like a GE9X look even more insane. This is so cool.

The power in turbine in that size.. goddam!! Imagine if you put 4 of those 😂 i guess the pilot would shit himself 😂 But still, that size compared to output thrust is just..amazing

Well when doing aerotows (towed be a plane) we also don't _really_ need a wing runner, it's just ideal

@@flynntytonidae5631 interesting point. I got my glider license as teenager 41 years ago. Last flight in 1998. I haven't had the chance to see a tow plane launch without a wing runner. Would be interesting to see.

@@johnrobinson4445 Not quite... planes are not gliders inasmuch as gliders are not planes. "Planes" are designed to maintain power throughout the entirety of a flight, whereas the "glider" is designed to "glide". They obviously operate under very similar principles of flight, but are distinct in their primary modes. The jet will assist the glider get to altitude, then the engine disengaged to "glide".

How long do you let it cool down before you can stow it?
@billyboblillybob344
@billyboblillybob344 Жыл бұрын
There probably is no waiting time for cool down since the engine is likely shut off during flight. Gliding for a minute or two would cool it off very quickly.
