Nice work, I’ve been planning something like this for a while after making my own version of the Paulk workbench some years ago, and you’ve created almost exactly what I was thinking. Well done, and thanks for the inspiration and well made video!

I just passed footing inspection for my deck. I'm doing 18" piers with sonotubes. Our experiences couldn't be more different. I was told that I didn't have to have the sonotubes or rebar in place for the inspection, so they were just inspecting the position, diameter, depth, and condition of the holes. Also, the inspector didn't even knock on my door to talk to me. He just went around behind the house, did the inspection, and left. I found out I passed because I was upstairs working in my home office, and got an email saying I passed 😆. The only evidence he was there was a sticker on my building permit.

Who in their right mind builds a house with OSB as sub flooring , not to mention buying said house. Young guys know nothing.
@craftedworkshop5 күн бұрын
Almost everyone in the United States? Unless your house is slab on grade, it is almost guaranteed to have an OSB subfloor if built in the last 15 years. Advantech is dimensionally stable and extremely strong if installed properly.

I like the overall project, however you have made your garage door spring unserviceable in the event it explods when it gets old.

This was an amazing build. Any updates on how the finish held over time?
@craftedworkshop5 күн бұрын
Not well, to be honest. All outdoor finishes require maintenance and the thought of sanding this thing and reapplying oil every year is just too much work.

Tiny garage shop here. At the price I paid ($120 used, but in perfect condition), the Ridgid spindle/belt sander has already been worth the money. But for my use, I wouldn't have wanted to pay $300.

I just bought a wood and shed with the same dimensions. 4’ x 8’. Does it get really hot in there during the summertime? I’m thinking about insulating it because I want to keep it at least a decent temperature.

For diy people trying to learn never use mapei grout it always cracks after a while and it is more difficult to install then Tec grout. The only Tec grout I don’t recommend is sterling because there are dark spots all the other colors work great though. If you wanted sterling try dove gray or mist instead

Slatwall, like Gladiator GearWall. You’re using the wrong product (tracks). Use the Gladiator slatwall with Premier tool cabinets. The Gladiator steel hangers are stronger, hold more weight than French cleats. Plywood cleats tool holders often must be bigger than the tools. You can fit far more tools on a Gladiator GearWall with hook hangers and this system is infinitely adaptable for ANY storage needs. We installed the slatwall on all three garage ❤

I find your videos excellent! Informative, accurate and well documented with a calm voice! I’ve just bought a Sprinter and hope to do most of the conversion myself. Maybe not battery/electrics but being a woodworker (passion/hobby) definitely will give the rest my best shot! Many thanks 👌👏👏👍

I can't believe how bad your architecture is...wooden floors?? well, we're not in the 16th century... that's why tornadoes and hurricanes don't visit Europe... they simply don't stand a chance against concrete and iron..😂
