My 2019 elantra has the 1.6 turbo engine too and started squealing occasionally on cold starts. It’s at 108k miles now so it’s definitely time to change the belt. Do you think OEM parts is necessary or can I just get what autozone has? Everyone always recommends OEM parts but Hyundai is not actually the one making the majority of parts.

Very simple BUT. A discription of the overflow tube inside the drain plug and how it works. Plus explanation of vehicle has to be level for an accurate manual reading. And finally as questioned in these comments, procedure for knowing, or at least guesstimating when enuff is enuff. Such as starting, running tranny thru the gears to circulate fluid, checking, then repeating until nothing but small amounts or drips, come out of the drain plug via the overflow tube inside etc etc.

I know this is an old video, but did you have any coil bucket contact after adding the 3 inch lift? Im trying to decide if i should get the 3 inch supreme suspensions or the 2.5 inch rough country lift. I just purchased a 2014 ford focus few days ago due to my car braking down on me and really needed one . The ford focus has 90,000miles on it . I notice when i come to a complete stop at red light then it turns green when i bearly step on gas i notice a lightly vibration on 1st gear then after that i don't feel any issues on any other shifts only on complete stop at red light . What can this be? I called Ford Dealer and they told me i wouldnt qualify for The Dual Transmission Recall because it had to be 7yrs since the model was made with 100k miles or less . So i told them how much would it be and he said for example if is a clutch issue you looking at $3000 . Then i called another shop they said $4000-6000 for transmission. Any help?

more than likely its going to be your trans. control module.. the dealer switched mine out free of charge ,, the car was still under warranty.. 60k miles. i changed the shift actuators bottom only because i knew that the dealer would want to replace those first and charge 1500 for such a simple job.. and keep in mind there diagnostics sometimes gives a false reading indicating its the shift actuator when its actually the control module.. and that info came striaght from the dealer mechanic.. after the job was done that pos ford ran better than the day i bought it.. i sold it a week later.. f*^& ford.. fyi. those control modules are p.c. boards mounted to the bottom of the trans,, and when the weather gets extremely hot they tend to fail...

Also, how to you check the level of fluid
@stablejourney
@stablejourney Жыл бұрын
you have to remove the drain plug with a 14Mm Hex Bit Socket... then there is a drain plug behind that, and it requires an 8 Mm Hex Bit Socket...this second drain plug works as a 'Self Check".. In other words, when the fluid level no longer is above the highest point of the second (8Mm) plug, then the level of fluid is sufficient. However, all this is done under the car at the transmission pan.
