Bought this in pewter and it's lovely BUT not functional. On my 3rd attempt and everytime the cork has been pushed in.

Notice how they only hit the bend in the glass towards the bottom of the bowl, this is actually the strongest part of the glass. The rim of the glass is the thinnest and weakest part, and that’s where glasses break most commonly. Try hitting the rim and this glass will shatter surely.

These are cool! I collected corks for years & yes, I did have a project in mind but sadly, didn't do! However, if you've not already had the idea, I saw a "bulletin board" in a Dr's office made w/corks & yes, on their sides! It was so veŕy one-of-a-kind that I HAD to make one! 😢 Keep crafting, having fun & enjoying the wine! 😁🩷✌️

Here is a funny story about Total Wine - the retailer of the year. I applied for a part time job and got the most embarrassing interview of my life - the store manager shamed me for not being available to close the store 2 days a week. He mocked me and asked me what I was doing on those days. I did offer full availability on weekends and all other days. So, it maybe the retailer of the year but I can't even imagine what it is working there.

From what I remember decanting just leaves the sediment from fermentation or fruit in the old bottle making the wine cleaner/smoother, it’s usually only done with fancier or more expensive wines
