That pink sea creature is definitely a jellyfish,not an octopus. And Missy you're right,someone put some time and money into it. The yarn alone might be around $25-$30,then the stuffing and eyes maybe $10. And people price their time by charging 3x the cost of the yarn/supplies. My 8yrs old grandson wants me to make him an octopus, I gotta get on it.😅

Yes,jellyfish 😊. My grandson has been wanting an octopus 🐙. I've been crocheting for 49yrs,started at 10yrs old. My mom and her mom taught me, both of them were right handed I'm a lefty. I pretty much can look at something a recreate it,if it's a hard pattern I work best off tutorials. Seeing ALL of that yarn in the bins had me going crazy. I think I would have offered at least $30 for all of it.

@@user-uy2ti6uj1e I'm also a lefty. My grandma taught me with me sitting across from her. I can also look at a crocheted piece and re-create it. There was a ton of yarn in those bins, Missy don't ever get yarn because its not her thing. Her luck she would get it and there wouldn't be anyone at the sale that would want it. It is so expensive any more.

Had to come for a bins fix. Ours got hit by a tornado in march, so it’s closed until further notice. Heard it may be a YEAR 😭.

Pennsylvania has the best bins. Others don't seem to have any vintage or antique items. Not much in your bins. Of course ours are located right outside of Harrisburg. Lots of donations from clean outs.

The wooden piece you said you couldn’t find the rest of goes inside the bigger wooden box. You should be able to see where it was glued to one side.

Hi Missy! The bird painting in the shell was my favorite today The beauty of the Bins is you take what you want. I’ve seen people just take the covers from old books to make junk journals, pop prints out of heavy frames, even cut heavy jeans into shorts! It’s a great place to find replacement dishes, cords or chargers etc.. it’s all good! Have a great weekend 💕

I don’t like seeing things get broken either but for the most part this is all stuff that has been picked over and no one else wanted. My bins said it doesn’t go to the landfill, it gets sold to other countries by the pound. Don’t feel bad about taking the pages of the book!

Missy, I love your hauls, and don’t mind the comments about the books, bottom line is they’re all lined up to go to the landfill, so whether you take a few pages or the whole book, it doesn’t really matter! There are tons and tons of books available, definitely no shortage of books anywhere! So if you pull out a few pages that you like, out of a book that’s going to the landfill anyway, it’s ok! 😊
