I have a problem about the pronunciation of numbers. Maybe it's wrong for me to understand this, but honestly there is a different pronunciation between what I had learned and here, it seems that numbers are spoken in Japanese like this: one for " いち”, two for " に”,three for ”さえ“ and so on. So can you help...

Thank you for your question about Japanese numbers. It's a common area of confusion for many learners, so let me clarify the difference between counting numbers and counting objects in Japanese. Numbers: 1 - いち (ichi) 2 - に (ni) 3 - さん (san) 4 - し / よん (shi / yon) 5 - ご (go) 6 - ろく (roku) 7 - しち / なな (shichi / nana) 8 - はち (hachi) 9 - く / きゅう (ku / kyuu) 10 - じゅう (juu) Counters (for general objects): 1 - ひとつ (hitotsu) 2 - ふたつ (futatsu) 3 - みっつ (mittsu) 4 - よっつ (yottsu) 5 - いつつ (itsutsu) 6 - むっつ (muttsu) 7 - ななつ (nanatsu) 8 - やっつ (yattsu) 9 - ここのつ (kokonotsu) 10 - とお (too) So, "one" is いち (ichi) when counting in general, but ひとつ (hitotsu) when using the counter for general objects. Different counters are used depending on the type of object being counted. ありがとうございます!!😊

@@SakuraJapaneseCafeGotcha. It’s very kind of you to reply on me.
As a beginner, I have been trying to find more efficient methods in order that I can improve my Japanese level in less time. Up to now , I always think there is a best way which you can learn what you want to know where it will be in such a place your interest occurred. Maybe this is the reason why I would leave these in here. Anyway, thanks a lot for your efforts.
