If a load doesn't group or has some vertical dispersion, dont insist no matter SD or ES. SD & ES are related to the ignition of the powder and how it burns, for the group size it's the powder charge & the seating depth. First find the bullets and the powder your barrel likes. Nowadays too many people are obsessed by the numbers (max velocity, BC, SD, ES etc.), if you're looking for accuracy forget the numbers and look at your groups.
@GianniG55
@GianniG55 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, but I will say just because a person can get a good group at 100 yards doesn’t mean they can shoot well at distance if there numbers are all over the place , I have had some very good results since that video was made, but I appreciate your comment.
@blacksand9805
@blacksand9805 3 ай бұрын
@@GianniG55 But a load that can't give good groups at 100yds will NEVER work better further. It's logical, good results at 100 shows your max accuracy potential, it won't necessarily work as well further, but it can. Excuse me but didn't you follow Bryan Litz's methods?

Hi , thanks for the comment, checkout this updated video I made to the .17 bore guide you might find it interesting kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbeZg9hjldHLep8.htmlsi=t2EMaij5sGd0mNRu also in regards to cleaning the bore i actually don’t clean the bore too often unless accuracy falls off I may give it a light scrub with a nylon brush and a bit of solvent to remove some carbon but I don’t scrub my bore to spotlessly clean i think it’s absolutely a waste of time and more often than not once you get the bore spotless you may find you’re groups are crap until you foul the barrel again and that might be a good few rounds until the accuracy gets back to normal, I have not had any issues with leaving some fouling left in the bore even if I have had a good few rounds when I have been out I mostly run a pull through, through it . But like I said I don’t clean it like I thought I needed too and my accuracy is bang on when I leave the house, but unless I got water in the bore then I would absolutely give it a clean and wipe out. Another thing sorry to make this a long reply, because this is a fast round i honestly believe that a layer of fouling protects the bore rather than a completely bare metal bore absorbing the full amount of the heat explosion and the first round being shot and possibly dragging over the bore surface, but if you do prefer to clean each and every time then by all means do what you think is right, and like I said checkout the updated video to that bore guide, all the best G.

I have placed a 15/16 pound rifle and a FX Maverick which there is a video for that, without issues as long as you find the balance point of the rifle , it will sit well and stay put , but you can’t expect a heavy rifle to sit at a 45 degree angle by itself self on something like the trigger sticks while you walk a way , plus there is no need for that in my opinion , but I like I said once you have it at the balance point it supports it very well, but if you need a much bigger more robust tripod then you’ll have to spend some serious cash, the videos I’ve posted for these trigger sticks was to make the sticks more versatile . Hope that helps cheers G.

Hi buddy, just be careful with leaving an unattended rifle on these, I’ve had two sets where one of the legs collapsed but luckily I had hold of my rifle, and after them being replaced the second set had a leg seize up so binned them. It can be a very expensive day if this were to happen with your rifle and scope crashing to the ground, I now use the Rekon tripod much better, and rifle can be left unattended, remember these trigger sticks were not made to leave a weighted rifle unattended on top 👍

Hi Mike , I would agree with you that people should be or at least show some sense in using the trigger sticks , I personally feel there is no real reason why you need to leave the sticks unattended for long periods, they are there for stability or quick shooting and can be a great asset, but the shoulder should always be at the back of the rifle for added support, and if you need to leave the rifle for some reason stick on the ground or if your near your shooting vehicle put it there, so you definitely have a valid point, all the best G. 😁👍

Hi Razor, please watch a couple of my videos on the channel that were made after this one , it shows me adding a saddle and ball head to the sticks and that should definitely answer your question plus the upgrade will definitely take those sticks to the next level , let me know what you think after you see the two videos, cheers G.

hi GianniG whayt size tubing did you use for the bore guide? Great bore guide and video! thx Matt

Hi matt ,I used a arrow shaft with a outside diameter of 6.3 mm and then I had a friend reduce one end of the shaft using a lathe down to 5.95 mm which is almost the same diameter as a shell casing so it would be a good fit and also be good to keep solvents from leaking back into the magazine well , hope that helps cheers G.

@@GianniG55 Hi outer is 6.3mm, how much is the inner diameter for the tube? I want to make a bore guide for my cz457. Thanks

@@MrDavyam Hi D , the arrow shaft I used was 6.3mm , I then had a friend use a lathe to reduce that outer diameter to 5.95mm so that will fit nice and snugly into the breach , that 5.95mm diameter is pretty much what a shell casing measures so a perfect fit but that’s what i used just an aluminium arrow shaft that measures 6.3mm and you simply reduce that one end so that it fits perfectly into the breach which stops any solutions seeping out all the place, hope I have answered your question? Cheers G.

Hi , I purchased this from optics wearhouse , at the time they had two versions this one was the smaller one of the two and the other was bigger and chunkier, cheers G.

Hi , I’m not exactly sure but you would have to go online to our British site and see in their shipping section if they deliver worldwide, cheers G.

Thanks for a good/innovative concept. I have gone and put a saddle directly onto the trigger stick because I find that with a ballhead it is too high above the centre of gravity (I assume at the point the legs meet the trigger body) and like with the primos two point gun rest, there is too much 'wobble'. I have also looked at an arca rail to ball setup like I have with my PRS tripod, but that doest reduce the instability. But having a saddle in which I can rotate the rifle vertically ( the existing trigger stick does side-to-side) by the looseness of the rifle in the saddle at its balance point just forward of the magazine/at the breech gives me about 45-60 degrees up and down. Hunting in mountains, shooting at that up/down angle I would probably shoot off my pack...Regards, Greg

Hi Rocket and thanks for checking out the video, for longer range shooting I found using just the saddle adequate but when I needed to shoot at some close range rats the ball head came in very handy, I have also taken the saddle off and have used my FX Maverick which has a arca rail and slips on great to the ball head so I get the best of both worlds, all best cheers G.

@@GianniG55did you have a link for the saddle and ball head?
@GianniG55
@GianniG55 6 ай бұрын
@@Lij_MC the link for the saddle was FLEXLITE GunPod FM-300 and the ball head was from a website called K&FConcept and it was the 35mm head sorry I don’t have the actual link shouldn’t be too hard to find or there could be other alternatives by now ,but personally I wouldn’t go smaller than 35mm for the ball head, hope that’s of some help.

Hi and thanks for checking out the video , I’m not sure if the company I purchased it from is still making them , they are in the states, but i think you can find very similar ones these days and probably have improved, cheers G.
