I'm sitting on cash and waiting for something to happen... anything! One thing I'm not doing is paying for them overpriced homes. Explain to me how did a pandemic make housing prices go up $200,000? This greed can't continue there will be an uprising from the people. This whole house of cards is going to soon fall apart anyway. BRICS, bank failures, commercial property failures, Layoffs, stock market crash, global warming, WAR, bird flu, immigration, global DEBT, personal debt, inflation, homelessness, US infrastructure, don't even start talking about the political agendas...... I'll wait this one on the sidelines which I can afford to do. Even if it takes years.

Raleigh was like a big city with a small town feel to it when I first moved here. I am a transplant from the mid-west and I relocated to Raleigh in 2015. At that time, I was so in love with the Raleigh area. It was not too crowded and the housing market was fairly reasonable which allowed me to purchase many rental properties. Before Covid, it was easy to find afford homes, in great condition, for under $250K. Now, it's all ruined!!! The home prices are "ridiculously" expensive and the traffic is horrific. It's impossible to escape the construction all around Raleigh-Durham area. Every place you visit is overcrowded but there is still so much potential in this city. It's my home now and I have no plans to leave ❤ For new comers, consider Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon, Rolesville, Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Clayton, Garner, and Briar Creek. They are all good areas with easy access to the city.

Both Wilmington and Raleigh have been ruined by the influx of population from Northerners and Californians for the reasons you listed in the video. The more that arrive the more they ruin the culture and opportunities they came here for, And us locals lose more and more of what we have loved about our home.

BS! You have to wait months to get a doctor’s appointment. In three years I’ve seen only RNs which are awesome but if you have bad health forget about it. There’s no reliable public transportation, if you’re not healthy you need care just to get places. You better flock to Europe for medical care at a fraction of the cost here in Raleigh.

It's definitely not as bad as Houston. The price for houses is higher than Houston if you plan to purchase. I moved from Raleigh to the suburbs a few months ago, the cost of my house made more sense here than in the city. It's overall a nice place, friendly people, if you like to travel flights from rdu are very reasonable, close to the beaches, a lot more highs than lows in my opinion.

A lot of people from the Raleigh area are moving to North Myrtle Beach. Carolinians know that the "best kept secret" in North Myrtle are the intracoastal RETREATS where mobile homes don't look like mobile homes at all, with high end cars and trucks parked in the driveways. Take out a mortgage NOW, at THESE rates? AND have to pay condo dues each month? That's insane! Instead, people should be mining Zillow and SNAPPING UP the MH's that are already remodeled and able to be purchased for under $120K!! THAT is what is called buying SMART. Keep your money in the bank, keep your taxes low, low, LOW, and take advantage of lot rent that INCLUDES WATER!!! Realtors haven't caught on yet, since the savvy Realtor would have a list of the nicest mobile homes in North Myrtle, and there are a few of them on Zillow, since my family already there is keeping an eye out waiting for their friends to retire, or buy these homes for their elderly parents or adult children so they can save money over renting! No matter which way you look at it, June is the time to buy North Myrtle Beach mobile homes!!!
