You're most welcome. I hope it makes your planning easier. You'll love Porto in early October. I've been at that time and the weather was great. Your location is prime for nice sunset times by the water so you can see the rest of Porto a glow. It's lovely. Find a place outside for some port sipping and enjoy. Oh, and if you will, let us know how your trip went and your stay at that hostel. I always love to hear of good hostel recommendations for others to consider. 😁

Great video. Thank you so much for all you do. Going to Portugal in September out of my comfort zone I usually go to Italy 😂. Doing 3 days Lisbon 3 days Porto 5 Algarve and 2 back in Lisbon. How does it sound? Would you change it ? @CORRTravel
@CORRTravel
@CORRTravel Күн бұрын
Oh, I LOVE Italy. It's hard to beat, right. 😂 Thank you for asking my opinion on my travel. The amount of time in each area sounds great. You can fit a lot in in each destination, plus you don't need a card to get between destinations (don't discount the bus as sometimes it may be quicker and cheaper than the train). I'm guessing you're flying roundtrip in/out of Lisbon, right? If you can (by airline miles?) I'd fly into Porto (warmer at that time) and make my way south ending in the Algarve to keep hitting prime weather (and being cooler in the Algarve). Then fly out of Faro. But if you can't do that, don't worry. Your plan is still good. And you shouldn't have to contend with any holidays in September. Don't forget to watch my other videos on Lisbon and Coimbra to help with planning. Touch back after your trip and let us know what you did and how it went!! 😃 🇵🇹

@@CORRTravelBuongiorno 😂. Thank you and I will keep in touch and let you know. Yes Italy is hard to beat. Flying in and out of Lisbon and enjoying 5 nights at Conrad in Algarve at backhand of trip. I’m thinking about doing extra night in Porto. It might be more of my vibe and adding Douro Valley but everyone says do Lisbon longer. Yes I have been definitely been watching your videos… I’m power watching 😂you are amazing

@@maxmater1311 Well, thank you for power watching. I'm pleased you like the channel. More videos will be coming! Well, if adding the Duoro Valley means adding a day to Porto, then YES. The Duoro Valley is a MUST. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site. Find the right small group tour where they pick you up, and take you for sites, lunch, river cruise and, yes, port tasting. See my video descriptions for suggested tour links, and other. It's a fun and informative day. Everyone has their Lisbon vs. Porto preference. It's subjective. Honestly, I think I like Porto better as there are so many more places to go to close by (approx. an hour or less) surrounding Porto easily accessible by train or bus. Like Guimarães or Braga. I love Braga. I'd spend 2 days in Porto, and then 2 days outside of Porto. Just MHO. Yes, please let us know about your trip, what you did and what you like best or least. Have fun!

I just came from Barcelona. My advice is don't waste your time or money going over there. No parking, people don't smile, people are rude, They really don't like Americans and it's really boring. Lots of scammers. They are needy. They want want want but won't offer a cup of water... Bus drivers were rude and had several bad experiences for instance I was with two older ladies friends of mine eating at the beach when the waitress threw the bill at me half way through my meal and I asked why she did that her response was sometimes people get up and leave, mind you were sitting next to her. I spoke to her boss and he was rude as hell. People please take my word for it. Notice that not one person in the video is smiling. The worst trip I taken in my life.

@@CORRTravel Thanks. I had friends that recently came back and they too had a bad time. My daughter went to Paris and the same bad treatment was given. Spain is about looking at antique places and sour people that only want give me give give me and not even a cup of water in return. Even at the airport I was treated different, they were rude. I just want to save people time and money. Look at your whole video and see nobody smiles and it's all about the €uros needed to spend.

@@rollyrol2644 Again, I'm so sorry to hear you say that. To be honest, you are not the first to say the Spaniards can be considered a "little rough around the edges", but we must consider cultural differences, yes? I just take them as they are and have honestly never experienced any rudeness. So, I truly do hope you'll go back to Spain and consider other locations. Valencia rocks. Madrid is lovely. San Sebastian cannot be beat. It's a large country so there are other options. If you don't to go back, consider Portugal. I live here and love it. And I've only ever experienced, and heard of, the kindness of the Portuguese. I've got videos on Portugal, too, and more will be coming! Keep that in your back pocket for future travel. 🙂

Nassau has NOT been any kind of "centre of slavery". It was a pirates republic until 1720 when the pirates were expelled by Woodes Rogers. There were no plantations there and after the British abolished slavery in 1820 it is where they dropped off Africans liberated from the slave ships of other countries. The black inhabitants of the Bahamas are not descended from slaves.

Just WOW. I really can't think of another travel video I have ever seen that contains so much genuinely useful information in such a short amount of time. My wife and I will be in Portugal in November and are considering a day trip to Coimbra but we're not sure we can fit it in - probably limiting ourselves to Porto (where we'll land) and Lisbon, and maybe Sintra. But once I started watching this video, I knew it'd be a shame not to watch it in its entirety. I see that you have a video about Lisbon, so guess what I'll be watching next! Cheers - and keep up the excellent work!

Wow, thank you for the compliments! I aim to please and help with travel ease. 😃 I hope you Subscribe, share and keep coming back to CORR Travel. I live in Portugal now so many more Portugal videos will be coming, among more around Europe for sure. I'm not sure how long you'll be in Portugal, but starting north in Porto and working your way south to Lisbon is better for weather purposes, so that's a good plan. If you are passing through, I would definitely consider a stop in Coimbra. Here is my 1 Day in Coimbra Itinerary to help you plan if you're interested. And stay in Hotel Oslo for sure. www.corrtravel.com/1-day-in-coimbra-solo-travel-itinerary-and-guide/ The sooner you get to Coimbra in the day the more you can cover, so don't feel bad if you can't see it all. At minimum, see Sé Velha and Coimbra University (Library, chapel and palace all in one ticket, which the Library is a timed entry only. Get them in advance here visit.uc.pt/pt/program-list or at the office on campus when you arrive). Wander Coimbra explore neat landmarks and finish with some Fado in town with a meal. :-) Great day. I am in the midst of doing my solo travel itinerary videos for Porto and Lisbon as we speak, so stay tuned for those. In the meantime, here are my suggested itineraries in case they help you plan (and, yes, do Sintra!): www.corrtravel.com/3-days-in-porto-itinerary/ www.corrtravel.com/4-days-in-lisbon-solo-travel-itinerary/ I also have downloadable itineraries: www.corrtravel.com/travel-resources/travel-itineraries/ I hope this helps. Drinking in regional and intercity trains are allowed. Maybe also S-tog. I can't find anything about, it should be banned. But look out for signs. It is quite normal all over the country, that eating and drinking in buses are forbidden, again, look out for signs. Generally it is allowed to drink in public, it includes public transport. But special rules can be applied, but it is rare. You can sit in front of Amalienborg and drink a beer (as far as I know), the worst that can happen is Frederik (the King) joins you. He is known to like a beer, like he's granddad, Frederik the 9th.

A few corrections: 1. There is really only one airport for visitors coming to Copenhagen (Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup), the other one, (Copenhagen Airport, Roskilde) does not have passenger traffic and is only a business and private plane airport. 2. There is no Terminal 1 (old domestic terminal) at Copenhagen airport anymore. Only 2 and 3. 3. Taxis can only be found outside terminal 3, not 2.

Do you suggest renting a car or ATV if you are just visiting for 10hrs on a cruise?
@CORRTravel
@CORRTravel 26 күн бұрын
Oh how I would rent a compact car over an ATV, any day of the week and twice on Sunday, let me count the ways... Cars are MUCH safer (and handle curves better, too), you don't have to wear a helmet, are cooler (have A/C), you're protected from the elements (you won't get sunburned or whipped by the wind as it does get windy on the island), you have a better chance to secure your belongings, you can hook up your phone to a lighter or USB port for charging, some come with Google maps, they have cup holders, they can be reserved at the same price or less than an ATV (for example: santorini-rentme.com/), and they are MUCH, MUCH quieter. Personally, I think the ATV's and Quads are obnoxiously loud. Go with the smallest rental car available and reserve WAY in advance. Just make sure you know how to drive a manual, just in case they don't have automatics, bring your driver's license, and ask about insurance. Have fun!

Hello Madame, Hope you are well. I had a once in a lifetime solo-backpacking adventure to Spain back in November. I arrived in Barcelona (2), then took speed trains to Madrid (2), Malaga (1) bussed it to Tarifa and hopedp on a ferry to Tanger, Morocco, Africa (1), Chefchaouen (1), Fes (1), Merzouga/ Sahara Desert Tour (2), Marrakech (2), Casablanca (2), Rabat (1) and then it was back to Tanger to catch the hour long boat ride to Tarifa (2). Finally I made it to Sevilla (2) and then finally a speed train to Madrid and then back to Barcelona. It was hectic and grueling. I used your channel for research and just adore your travel vlogs. While I was there, I met beautiful people from all walks of life, culture, religion and the gastronomy was just superb. I walked everywhere you mentioned. Took the metro to La Sagrada Familia. I felt safe and kept to myself with a big freakin' smile on my face. After my divorce I decided to say eff it an just Go! and Go I did.
