I never knew there was an apology. There are many wonderful books about people who were condemned to live out their lives in dire poverty separated forever from family and friends and how they dealt with that. Thanks for posting

We are all legally guaranteed the right to travel on any road to any town in Maui or Hawaii by the US Constitution.... these criminals have no power or legal authority to set up illegal road blocks trying to intimidate and force people into submission. What we are seeing is racism and classism being used to control and divide. Shame on Mayor Victorino and Kalani English. Attorney General Barr has already been contacted regarding these illegal actions.

Thank you from me too...my great great grandmother Toi Maere Togia & her sister, are the names known, born in Tahiti too, their grandmother was from Niue. The sisters came to Niue...we dont know much about her, only a photo, Toi was beautiful. We only, or my grandmother had a name of their village or locale name, Onema?
