I am interested in the mechanical aspects of this truck, but no video of it includes much, usually nothing, like this video. I have only seen it move a bit. Which is all I saw of the fraudulent "Nikola" electric truck. Every video appears to be more of a Hollywood style production than something that at least looks like a cool vehicle....IF it works. Why are there turbine engine noises dubbed over it? I want to hear the engine that is in the truck, and no, it does not sound like a jet. Maybe that was the TFE-731 turbofan, 2 of which are on what appeared to be a Lear 35 in the hangar? Or maybe just a random turbine noise from the internet? Definitely was not from 2 back to back 2 stroke detroit diesel v-12's. In other videos, the throttle plate positions appear to have no effect on the engines running. The use of throttle plates is curious, too, as diesels have no need to throttle intake air, power and speed are controlled by fuel input. (A few diesel do have throttle valves for other purposes.) Bunch of annoying music and fake noises, without substance. Why no comments from Leno? He seems to be somewhat mechanically aware, and likes to talk about cars, etc. Maybe nothing to talk about, other than how shiny it is. Has a lot of skulls, too. Seems to have impressed the internet.
