yeah I think he uses AI Text To Speech, but writes the scripts (the scripts don't sound like something an AI would produce to me)

yup, I enjoy making vids I'm just self conscious about my voice so I use tts, I'd never use ai for scripts

it's still a good game, and some of the starcoins take forever unless you use a guide (which is cringe don't use a guide) but thanks for the comment 🫠

I think it's a skill issue on your part ngl, the motion controls are fine and I prefer using a wii controller to using the Wii U gamepad on the other games (mario maker and New U) although I can't really say much about the lives thing since I basically instantly discovered the 1-up secret in 1-1 and just use that every time I play

​@@rockman08 I rolled my eyes as well, but in his defense it's pretty hard for a console to really be "underrated" now. Everyone loves the GameCube, Vita, and Dreamcast now even if they weren't financially successful at the time of release. Really, TurboGrafx 16 is the only console that feels legitimately underrated as it doesn't get near the current praise or rereleases as the other consoles. It wouldn't feel right calling the Atari Jaguar or 3DO underrated.

I mean it is a port and I said no ports, but the controls are easily the worst thing in that game. I still love it though.

@user-in8qh3zf9d Simple: Play on literally anything other than an original DS. You'll still have 8 directional movement but other games such as Galaxy, 3D Land and 3D World all have it as well, and those games are beloved by pretty much everyone

thanks for watching! I agree that the Wii U is actually a solid console, the marketing was just horrendous. But honestly I didnt realise how good of a system it was until researching for this video, so hopefully spreading the info here will help some other people notice that it really wasn't all bad.

It's an interesting tactic because with the Switch, Nintendo didn't want it to be seen as a successor to 3ds, but they DID want it to be seen as successor to Wii U. I suppose that by Nintendo's standards, it was better for them to market the Switch as being way better than the Wii U, while keeping the 3Ds audience alive just in case Switch flopped and they needed to fall back on 3ds. After all, the DS systems with sales combined were easily their most successful consoles of all time, so it's a big risk to move away from them. They were a lot more wishy washy back when moving from Wii to Wii U, completely failing to sell the Wii U as its own thing. They were too self conscious about the console from the start, following massive success of the Wii. And it appealed to nobody, with its second screen gimmick being way too niche for its purposes, somewhat worse than a wiimote, and making the console expensive. The failure to use the wii u tablet is what killed the system. My prediction is history will repeat itself and Nintendo will be self-conscious about introducing the Switch successor, not wanting to trample on Switch sales, and this will lead the Switch 2 to do badly. They might aim for some new dumb gimmick and fail to land on an audience that is surrounded by vastly more impressive technology than Nintendo can affordably offer.

@@tipsy634 thanks for the comment, I can absolutely see the Switch 2 going the way of the Wii U, unless nintendo goes all out and makes a completely new system instead of a switch 2, which is why their previous systems have done so well, the Wii and Switch were completely new ideas and that's why they sold so well. Unless the Switch 2 brings something huge to the table I'd be worried personally. Backwards compatibility with the Switch would sell it enough for me personally though.
