How do one file an i 821 for a minor online? I am the parent i filed mine under my account. What about my child ? It won't allow me to submit a second application on my account for my child?

I honestly think that if they are processing these applications by scanning them now, then submitted evidence should be done digitally with online form filing. It’s a waste of paper, shipping costs, and, in some cases, time.

I agree. I just wish they’d let us do that. Fun fact, over one billion dollars has gone in to trying to digitize forms. They have a little over a dozen or so working ones.

That explains why they have more digital forms now. We started the process back in 2019 and at each stage it felt like we were mailing off a dissertation in the mail. Have you seen any trend where they shift active cases on paper to all digital? Or would they only do that with new cases going forward? Either way, I hope they get enough staff to speed up the digitization process and clear out some of the backlog.

@@alexw5093 USCIS is self funded and they start all over with their development plan whenever there is an election, so right now they are moving forward but a Trump admin would likely send things back to paper as goal is to slow down processing not help it….

What should I put where is say "A grant of parole is a discretionary determination granted on a case-by-case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit. Please explain why a favorable exercise of discretion is merited for this individual."

Do you still feel the same about this program? I heard it’s a disaster and people are waiting years because USCIS is backed up from the pandemic. I notice this video is a year old so I’m curious to what your opinion is now.

I think the program’s necessity and importance is what led to the surge and backlog. I continue to think that the executive branch is ill equipped to manage immigration without the help of Congress, as programs that are successful are unable to get the funding or regulatory support they need. So on the one hand, yes, I understand the frustrations, but on the other hand, the immigration system dysfunction is such that the successful programs are predestined to be oversubscribed.

I think has to file when USCIS announces the effective date of new program otherwise early applications will be automatically denied . Thats what says on USCIS website

Welcome to the new America. It is definitely sad to see, but he is not the first or the last. Please take the case all the way, that is the only way to teach them a lesson. The official guidance has come out, and I pretty much nailed it. Here are the key details: Publication in the Federal Register: DHS will publish a notice in the Federal Register detailing the new Parole in Place process. This publication is necessary before the application process can officially begin and will include comprehensive information on eligibility requirements, the application process, and associated fees. Final Eligibility Requirements: Be present in the United States without admission or parole. Have been continuously present in the United States for at least 10 years as of June 17, 2024. Have a legally valid marriage to a U.S. citizen as of June 17, 2024. Have no disqualifying criminal convictions. Do not pose a threat to national security or public safety. Merit a favorable exercise of discretion. If granted parole, these individuals will be able to apply for lawful permanent residence without having to leave the United States for consular processing. Application Process: USCIS will begin accepting applications later this summer. It is important to note that USCIS will reject any filings received before the official start date. The application process will involve filing a specific form with USCIS, providing supporting documentation, and paying a required fee. Further details on the exact form and fee will be provided in the forthcoming Federal Register notice. Upon receipt of a properly filed parole request, USCIS will determine on a case-by-case basis whether to grant parole based on significant public benefit or urgent humanitarian reasons. DHS estimates that around 500,000 noncitizen spouses of U.S. citizens could be eligible for this process, with an average residence period in the United States of 23 years. Additionally, approximately 50,000 noncitizen children of these spouses may also be eligible for parole under this process.

Yes, if filing for the first time. In most cases a showing of monthly payroll for the position requested will be required at the 9142 step. Revenues may be required at this step, and 941s as well. At the USCIS step, 941s may be required to verify the size of the org for the purposes of assessing the correct filing fee.
