A shame there isn't footage of him in his younger days. It's clear his movement and balance were pretty compromised by this time. Still is great to see old masters perform though.

@AlHasashinBattousai there are some wrong information. the liziming book covers principle and theory more than actual practical teaching. As always learning from a DVD is hard and not very recommended with internal styles.

@AlHasashinBattousai hey, I would advice not to focus entirely on the collection of Zhang Quanliang's DVD. Allthough they can help you start you should not trust them too much ;) Concerning books you can find a great book in english form grandmaster Li Zi Ming called Eight Diagram Palm and edited by vince Black. The most important is the circle walking where all your attention should go at first. Read the book carefully lot of great tips. You can also put your videos so people can give advice

Hey, This is not Xing Yi Quan, this is Dan Cao Ba Zhang from the Liang Style Bagua Zhang performed by Li Zi Ming ;) It does look very similar to xing yi though.

@bigfatfoot You are absolutely right this technique can be very dangerous and would require a lot a dexterity to accomplish. But again those techniques are very advanced ones and performed here as a demonstration by Li ziming at the age of more than 80 years old. To perform such techniques you need to master your center and the one of your opponent ;) regards

With all due respect to the Grand Master, there is a application with the sword that would be very dangerous to even try to execute at 0:39. Using the hands to brush will probably get yourself stabbed as the sword is longer than you arms. One miss and your dead. I wouldn't even attempt to practice that application. What do you think?
