HP Victus 15. 144Hz or 60Hz as the only available options. Already tried 40Hz. I'm going to set a 30Hz mode for optimal battery saving. 🙏

You simply boot again. It takes a few cycles to get going, but then it works normally. It happens every time you disconnect the battery.

Im around 6.3 feet (190cm) Tall i just bought mine of off Amazon coming in 2 days il edit the review here after I've tried it. 1st edit: Comfort 10/10 love it Sound 9/10 the chair itself is quiet the wheels have a slightly annoying sound on wooden floor. Other then that it feels very nice, one thing that affects me/ taller peps is the cushion its a bit too short towards the front my legs hang of quite a bit other then that the chair is a 9/10 for me (105 KG 190cm) 1 Week later (last edit): I got used to the chair a bit more, must say it's one of the most comfortable ones that I've had/tried, love the flexible arm rests other then that still a solid 9/10 lovely chair.

Great and honest review! Can you tell me if the arm rest is adjustable in height when flipping it? seems only to be able to move back and forth and about (yaw). What about the height adjustment of the flip arms?
@nighteye5253Ай бұрын
You can flip the arms up and down as well, but the pivot point is always at the same height compared to the cushion seat, as it is fixed to the frame of the chair.

Make sure you have properly inserted the battery connector back in place. Then, try to turn on your laptop again. The first time you do this, you may have to turn it on a few times. Also, you will see a CMOS message, because the battery was removed and resetted. That's normal.

I'm just over 170 cm tall. One of the Amazon pictures for this chair contain some reasonably detailed measurements. If not, try the Amazon link in the video description, as it's the UK website. That one does have them.

@nighteye52534 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm a little over 170 cm, and can sit on the chair at its maximum height while keeping my feet on the floor. So, based on that, I am guessing you should be able to sit on it quite comfortably, but maybe at a lower chair height. One thing I'll say, when you sit down, it's ideal if you manage to sit all the way back in the chair, to take advantage of the lumbar support.

The heat sink doesnt come out. Can someone please help?
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
Two things: - Make sure all the screws directly on the heat sink are completely unscrewed. (They don't come out all the way, but you can hear them click when you try to unscrew them further). - Make sure to remove the two small screws at the far left and right of the heat sink, near the hinges. If you try to lift the heat sink up, it becomes quite obvious which of the screws are still holding it on, just look near the hinges. If even these are removed, then you probably have a case of dry thermal paste holding onto the heatsink. Best solution is to let your computer heat up (play games, run cinebench, whatever you want to stress it), in the hope to heat up and soften that paste. Once you do that, you should be able to lift the heatsink up using a small amount of force.

This is pretty great but is there a way clean it without having to open the machine up? Maybe not 100% good but if it gets 80% of the way there that would be great. Compressed air maybe. but then from which vent would it work best?
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
You can use compressed air from any position (I would do all vents and air intake). But the important thing is to make sure to prevent the fans from spinning. If you can do that without opening the cover, great. (I'm thinking if you have a thin solid wire that you can pass through the grating at the bottom and keep the fans from spinning, maybe that works?). But my suggestion is to at least remove the bottom panel for an easier time while working. Once you open it a few times, it gets progressively easier to open it the subsequent times. However, keep in mind that compressed air can't get rid of the sticky dust. For that you'll need the good old brush (and opening the bottom panel for sure).
@aBrokenShard6 ай бұрын
@@nighteye5253 Thanks very much this is helpful! I read else where a suggestion to actually keep the fans running while using compressed air.... That seems like a dicey situation!
@aBrokenShard6 ай бұрын
I've already had to replace the fans once and defo do not to repeat that experience! They do great job of cooling even if they are a little noisy but the dust situation is not good!
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
@@aBrokenShard The reason why we need the keep the fans from spinning is that compressed air can make them spin faster than their rated value. That can wear down the bearings prematurely, which means the fans can fail earlier than expected.
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
@@aBrokenShard That's the unfortunate reality of air based cooling systems. You could put a dust filter in front of it, but then that reduces air flow. It's a fine balance between having a cover of some sort and keeping the fans completely in the open. 😂

I just assembled the chair and the arm rests are able to adjust up, down, left, and right-however, they do not lock in place and always move down no matter what. Is this something happening to your arms as well?
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
If you mean keeping the arm rests raised at an angle, then no, you can't do that. The arms are either up vertically or down horizontally. There is some resistance for it to stay at an angle, but as soon as you put some weight, like the arms, it will go down to horizontal. Correct me if that's not what you're asking.

hello! How much do you think durable is this lumbar support? and is it reaaly help sit properly or its just marketing?
@nighteye52536 ай бұрын
Lumbar support is important in any ergonomic chair. There are different levels of it, and it's not always adjustable. Outside of marketing, have a look at videos or articles about proper posture and you'll realise lumbar support plays a pretty big role. I'm not saying this chair will fix posture, but it helps in not making it worse. From my experience, I can sit down on the chair (any ergonomic chair will do) for hours, and my back won't hurt when I stand up again. With my old chair, I had to stand up every thirty minutes or so because it was not comfortable, and at the end of the day my back was always aching. This is why I decided to change it. At the end of the day however, anecdotal proof is not as strong as proper testing, so if you get a chance, try sitting down on a chair that has some form of lumbar support and see how that feels. (You have to sit down a certain way of course. Just crouching on this chair is no different than crouching on a plastic chair, just more comfortable. You have to lean back and rest on the backrest and lumbar support)
