I appreciate there is a lot of truth to your video however, the life expectancy in Gambia is not 40,s is around 62. However, it is dependent on how someone lives and whether they have access to good health care and finances. Lets not put people off a beautiful nation. There are issues worldwide.

You're right about life expectancy for seniors. However, this discussion doesn’t include those under 40 or infant mortality rates. My goal isn't to discourage anyone but to provide Afro-Americans with the information they need to navigate The Gambia safely. It’s a place of both beauty and danger. Given the current global issues, it's crucial not to hide the truth and the realities on the ground in Africa. As a people, we can only do better if we know better! Thank you and I feel your heartfelt comment.

Brother you cannot compare America to Africa, let alone America to a small country like Gambia. America's population is 383 million. Gambias is around 3 million. Make it make sense. This is like a 20 year old telling a 50 year old, age doesn't matter. Numbers matter.

Diasporans from the U.S. who return to Africa must operate as a collective the same way continental Africans do when they arrive in the U.S....Then again, if they are not operating as a collective in the U.S., what makes you think they would do it in Africa?

HELLO BWISE AFRICA MOVEMENT FAMILY. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO INFORM AA OF THE MULTIPLE CAUSES OF AA DEATHS IN MANY AFRICAN COUNTRIES. WERE THE # OF DEATHS ANNUALLY OF AA IN THESE AFRICAN COUNTRIES UNAVAILABLE & SEPARATED FROM THE DEATHS OF LOCALS? I WAS CONFUSED WITH PERCENTAGES BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HOW MANY AA WERE LIVING IN THESE COUNTRIES VS THE # OF CONTINENTALS.

Great observation. Stats and data in Africa is not readily tracked due to knowledge base and infrastructure. Data can be found through the state department, federal government, and non profit organizations. If you are interested in conducting additional research I listed my sources in the description. Please, share your results with us.

Empty rants Africans should produce and stop all these infantile rants filled with lies and ignorant misinformation. I don't blame him because he is an uneducated soldier who doesn't understand production and international trade. The same speech of independence movement of 1960 is the speech they are still making in 2024. How long has he been in power and what has he achieved? We are watching them.
@eSaF-Eddie
@eSaF-Eddie Ай бұрын
What he doesn't understand is the unbalanced and unfair International Trade between African Countries and the West that dictates the terms and conditions to the detriment of African people. Sir I have to say your mindset is what is wrong with most African leaders on the whole. Let me ask you this, would you allow me to come into your house and dictate to you how it should be run? Even if as your say 'He is an ignorant soldier', at least he is willing and trying to right centuries of unbalanced practices not to mention the atrocities committed. There is a famous debate (I can't quite put my finger on it) why Africa is kept poor when in fact it is not. If the truth be known Africa doesn't need the West, the West needs Africa.

Production and international trade equates to "let's take their resources and give them the crumbs from the floor." If Africa traded with Africa, that's all the trade agreements needed for sustainability. You have not had enough of mind control and manipulation? Africa must stand on her own and we must take ownership @mobassey8455. Something is wrong..... Stockholm syndrome is real.

Nonsense sister, gambians are dying in the Gambia every day.and equally gambians die in order parts of the world as well. That's normal . Try and talk good about people when they die
@bwiseafricam
@bwiseafricam 2 ай бұрын
Brother nothing is normal about dying too soon and because of a lack of healthcare, food, and shelter. We are a blessed people and we need to do better. We must become our own caretakers. We should take care of the world, but yet we remain subservient and classless. None or us should leave this realm in the conditions we are leaving. Yes, Gambians are included and deserve so much more than what they are producing. Good and bad don't exist in the universe; it is a matter of living and speaking truths, regardless of the pain. We need to mature as a people and stop acting like children.

That's your understanding of the scenario. Well , for me, it is different , I believe we are from Allah, and we will return to Allah sooner or later, rich or poor, bigger or smaller, cared for or not cared for, at any level we will all die one day. My advice is that don't talk bad about people who can't defend themselves because they are dead.

People die everyday and people from different country’s die in other countries but AA have this ideology that dying in Gambia must be foul play, granted their has been a few incidents of foul play but how many Gambians or other nationality’s die around the world due to foul play you don’t see videos being made and the country’s being rubbished by those deaths! What about the Gambians dying in Gambia due to foul play by the hands of others? Not one you er has reported them? Are our lives not as important?
@bwiseafricam

I have said Gambians are dying, being scammed, and robbed as well. Yes, we must share the truth and it cannot be bias. People die everyday, but some before their time. Living a full life is a major choice. Some choose death over life. It is not the creators will that we die premature. Wishing you the very best that life has to offer! We are important and we must love ourselves enough and not be vain.

Gambia is a beautiful place but yes, you definitely need to know people. My boys have dual citizenship and we go often in fact just last year we visited for a month. I’m sorry about your challenges there as I’ve never had issues there. If anything I’d say it’s more free now than when Jammeh was in power. Also, Marabou are very real in Gambia and there are things you just don’t do like eating food or taking any drinks from strangers. George Floyd was nothing more than a Martyr! .

Gambia is beautiful! In my opinion the diaspora is not contributing to growth for two reasons: lack of funds and lack of business experience. My stay was successful. I did what I said I would do in the time frame I gave myself. True the diaspora are increasing the country GDP, but as a whole it has not caused a change for the lives of Gambians. It has caused inflation and higher prices for Gambians. Plus Gambians hate that Americans dislike what feeds them “Europeans.” My time was well spent and I love Gambia. We need to rethink what Come back home to Africa truly means and be more intentional with our actions. I have a different political opinion, but I am not a citizen so I will reserve my political opinion. I’m glad you said it: you don’t eat food or take drinks from strangers. Thank you kindly for weighing in on this topic!🙏🏾✌🏾

Yes he does! You can se all the nations in my family, its weird. The state was not aggressive in their prosecution, but I fought to ensure that she was charged and now have a criminal record. My brother has had many surgeries, held in a burn unit four four months, and is now an amputee. It is pure brutality of how we treat one another. The attempted murderer was sentenced to two years of probation (shameful judicial system) and angry management because my brother was not lucid enough to testify.
