Does anyone know what album she recorded with the melvins?

00:10…. ‘Adding excitement to the vocals’….. said in such a dead pan way about one of the worst tracks & vocal performances of recent years… I’m unsure if he’s trying to be ironic or sarcastic😂

Lmao I mean they’re using Pro Tools, what do you expect 💀
@DaveJLamar4 сағат бұрын
Maybe it’s because they are mix engineers and not teachers. They’re just sharing how they do things the best they know how. It’s already great we get to see some of the process behind these massive hits and artists that we couldn’t get 20 years ago.

I disagree. Scenario 1: Person stuck in a dead-end job who is average at mixing declares he will never work for free and turns down hundreds of opportunities to practice and get better. 10 years later he's been paid 8 times a low amount to do mixes and has improved slightly over time. Scenario 2: Person stuck in the same dead-end job who is average at mixing agrees to do one free mix a week for the right project. Every week he gets better and better at his craft and widens his networking community. After 5 years he has finally learned enough that he can start charging confidently because he knows he's now a level above non-professionals. He got there through lots and lots of practice that he wouldn't have had access to if he had rigidly stuck to the no-pay principal.
@juliusway3 күн бұрын
It's easy to talk about rigid principles like this when you're already getting paid well in your craft. It's probably hard for people like that to conceptualise that for every one person who manages to make a living out of sound engineering there are 100 who try and don't manage it.

Where it is positioned? With an orchestra this big, putting it farther in the room will introduce latency

EQ her vocal going in using a Neve 1073, only after if you need to but you should not need to because you did it right tha first time :) SSL is a toy that everyone uses because of monkey see monkey do. Only reason why tha first monkey got an SSL is because it is cheap and has so -called everything in it.
