I spent like $6k building my Mk18. Rattle can paint made it's performance exactly 0% worse than from the factory 😂

@chinchilla641 You might as well have just bought the cheapest piece of crap AR since you are so cheap as to use a rattle can instead of Ceracoat or Aluma hyde.

@@shaun536you understand that the whole point of regular spray paint is because as it wears off, the pattern actually breaks up the outlines better, right? And because it can be changed very easily. Also, until recently, most spray paints had a lower IR signature than Cerakote...but I think Cerakote is trying to catch up with 'low IR' paints if I remember correctly.

@animalmother556x45 You do realize that so does ceracoat and alumihyde, but where normal spray paint will not protect the underlying metals alumihyde and ceracoat will. Plus, it looks tons better.

The paint and make parts stick together especially if they are unlucky enough to gather dust. But that is only my guess.

Yes sir. That DD4 is a must have for SHTF. Or a extremely well made replacement rifle. It's just as reliable as my Colt M4. If for some odd reason the ol Colt lets me down. An the Smith&Wesson M&P 15, 2 was to bite dirt. I've still got a damn good one to bring out. Don't get me wrong now. The wesson is a great toss in the floorboard. An put in the window mount of the Track hoe lol. Put behind the seat of the skid steer. An bounce it down the mountain. The Colt deserves my respect and to guarantee its well being. The DD4 was a conversation piece and pretty penny. The mount an nite optics. Flashlight an tripod. Dont tell the wife a good 3500. It's a piece of Hardware to used. But come on Id feel kinda bad for it sliding out the seat into the floorboard. Or to trip up an roll down the mountain side into a rock filled ditch. I've done that as well the wesson took it like a champ. I was bleeding a little. It lost some paint as well an added a little more Tactical grip to the corners and plastic heat shields. A tough spot on the hand gaurd an charging handle. Nothing really bad for a 900 dollar wotk tool.
