How is that a VF25? You’re looks better than mine and it’s graded EF40

Say I have a question do these grading companies switch your coins and they keep your coin or what
@erikbrantner429528 күн бұрын
Very difficult to be able to determine the coin surface and condition on eBay when buying a RAW coin.. But sending them to pcgs or Ngc is taking even a BIGGER chance because chances are they will find something/anything wrong with them and give you a detailed graded coin! That's why I DO NOT, and WILL NOT use these two grading services! No matter what anyone says! Pcgs/Ngc have everyone in there back pocket backing them and they know that! So even if you don't see anything wrong with your coin even under a high magnification chances are 50/50 you will receive your coin with a straight grade or a detailed grade.. It all depends on who's grading your coin at either of those two grading companies... It all depends on weather or not someone who is grading your coin has had their cup of coffee or is in a good grading mood or not because grading is still subjective and the only way to get a for sure grade on ANY coin is to have several experienced examiner's come to the same grade for any given coin.. I doubt seriously that any grading company examines a piece sent in for grading on a multiple level of expertise by several graders before giving a coin any specific grade... But as I always recommend before because of my own experience in the past,if you're going to send a coin in for grading, ANACS is 😂my personal choice since at least you will receive a numbered coin EVEN if it has some sort of issues...

I enjoyed the video, as I'm sure others did as well, so I guess your vouchers weren't wasted. I do wonder why you chose 1950s branch mint cents, as you've got to get MS67+ in order to really make it worth your while. The grades you got back seem spot on to me, so I doubt you were swinging for the fences. This isn't meant as a criticism, because at the end of the day, it's a hobby and it'd supposed to be fun. I'm just curious, that's all. I also have a platinum level membership, and I think it's by far the best way to go because with the vouchers it ends up being only $25 each with gold shield/trueview included. I usually save my best and most photogenic coins for when the renewal comes around. But that's me, you do you. ✌

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment Steve. I was really hoping for a 67 for my registry set and in a previous video I was hunting a BU roll of these, I narrowed down to what I sent in hoping I’d get one based on comparisons to other 67’s I have. What I’m finding on the wheat cents is the open field of the coin on the obverse matters a whole lot! I’ll get one, one day ☝️!! Also, I agree platinum is the best value. Unfortunately I was too busy with my day job that I missed sending in my last years vouchers, such a shame! Cheers!

Metal detector. Pretty sure there was a volcanic iron vein that sprayed out the meteorites. I found a bunch, then I found the source. Would a old land cruise make it out there?

I’m guessing it is an archaeological site! AZDOT uses surveying markers to identify area. Maybe a “historical marker” plaque will be placed at the nearest rest stop?

Man… my in laws live just east of here and we bought some property in the area probably right around where you scanned. They are building Yucca up a lot more now. I remember driving quads around the Franconia wash… had no idea there were meteorites in the area. Apparently the bigger pieces are more spread out south of the freeway but more likely to be on private property or a private claim as there are a ton of gold claims near the buck mountains. Can’t wait to check it out. Chalcedony.. pronounced cal-sed-o-nee but everyone gets this wrong… I had to finally look it up.

I would have checked the side hill's for an audit or mining activity. I don't think they would have went through all that trouble building a cabin if they weren't finding anything. Plus the claim marker yeah you definitely need to go back. Good luck bud
