Made my base on an island 🏝️ surrounded by turtles 🐢 use a rafts going around to hunt and scavenge items my base is not to far away from where the plane ✈️ crashed or the yatch 🛥️ it’s right in the middle so I have zip lines connected to the mainland

@@CrusaderLarry it’s very cool I had friends help me build it only been playing for two weeks now but got all the items and weapons survived a 110 days but died of hunger because I fell asleep I’m on day 2 now game is fun so far.

You have to use one of the entrances that is just a crack in the wall, hold two logs and then just enter the cave as normal. You cannot take logs down the rope entrances though keep that in mind.

I typically just play the game with destruction off because of how much i tend to build it would be alot of upkeep to be honest, but when i did normally just used defensive walls, with some traps and maybe some spikes. Do what you feel you need. Some areas of the game have less cannibal foot trafic than others and you dont need too much defenses. Where as other areas you will always be under attack (like beaches).

Yeah I went back over and over to get extras for when people respawn or joined in our world. I just made ziplines to get around faster.

If you got blueberries for a lifetime, why kill little innocent bunnies? :( You know what's funny?....when I was younger, teens/20's I robbed people cracking them in the head mostly with the same about 1ft long crescent wrench 🔧🙉, shot guns stole cars, high speed chases etc etc etc....but now? After mma training & a few amateur cage fights & getting in my high 30yrs, I have the softest, sweetest heart! People saw that expression alot, but for real. I care for everyone extremely hard & break myself for others now. Maybe deep down I'm lookin to make up for it? I don't think so. It feels right to be like Christ if you will. Not religious, FYI. But yea, even plating this game I never got the couchs, spear bags, warm coat... none of that shit. Cuz then I would have to kill animals. Ya know what, the animals don't run from me when I come around either....makes me smile. Love ya stranger, thanks for sharing cool base. See ya in the next life.......

I'm glad you found some sorta peace with animals, they are so wholesome. better than us for sure (as a species). We don't deserve most of the species we call pets for sure. I have always really found the company of animals calming. My father was an avid hunter when I was younger, but in his older age didn't want to anymore, we joked that he'd gone soft. But he really just didn't want to hurt anything anymore even if it was for food. Thank you for sharing your perspective, I get what your saying. See ya in the next life stranger and take care! I was saying not to make the standing fire torch, rather to make the skull torch cause it doesn't require upkeep. sorry if it didn't make sense :D

Rabbit furs are not in water skins or spear bags. I think that’s all they aren’t in as far as that goes but I could be wrong

Never used strength, The bow one tapped in the head so I made it a point to get good with that and i used tnt or chain saw for logging so that's why lol. Hope that helped! Have a nice day and thank you for the comment.

Man the dedication and the efforts that has gone in building this base is insane and massive, considering u did it in vanilla and hard mode sounds so surreal. Not really sure if u did it alone cuz it would've taken ages to do. I did watch all the way thru and stayed put. I bought the game recently (ik im late) but i wanted to dinish the story so bad and fast that i didnt focused too much on building after seeing your base i might make a good base but the efforts are just too much for me. Loved seeing your base! Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much, that means so much to me! i think I spent around 400 hours building all that stuff. Some builds alone and some of the others with friends! I Love it when others can see the creativity, hours of planning, and all the hard work that goes into mega bases and just the world in general! building has always been something i enjoyed in any game that allowed it. You just have to put down a trophy display it costs one stick, then you just have to chop off the head of the creature you want and put it on the armor stand. Sorry for such a late reply I have been busy! I might actually make a tutorial on this now to show it as well. I hope you already figured it out, but if not hopefully this helped. This is beyond impressive. I’m new to the game but I wish I had a fraction of the success you do. Any advice on what/where to build first?

Hey thanks for the kind words friend :D Glad people are still getting into this game, its 100 percent one of my favorite titles. To answer your question I started building only for survival at first, once I had my camp done I found ways to innovate it and make it not only more efficient but more beautiful as well. Start small, don't focus on the end goal focus on each build until you are satisfied with it. Then move on :D Hopefully this helps and I hope you have a good day and a happy holiday season! Cheers!
