Krishna tells Krishna Krishna tells Arjuna give up everything and surrender to “ me” .this is often misunderstood thinking one must surrender to a personal form of a blue skinned cowherd boy, “ ME” means the SELF surrender to the all pervading Brahmin the source of all beings all of manifest creation. If it’s your inclination to surrender to form then know God is equally form and formless. The same misunderstanding is in Christianity. Jesus says ,”there is no way to the father except through;ME”. Again limited minds misunderstand this as Jesus meaning you can only reach the divine pure consciousness at the source through him, ie jesues, no ,, here again MEi is ego free and impersonal.

The sign of spiritual advancement is enjoying all of life equally with out separating it into worldly and spiritual. It’s have a detached mind and knowing deep inside that all of the percieved life is a dream but with the ability to see it all as Gods dream and to enjoy it with out attachment or aversion. This is true spiritual advancement. Having distaste for worldly things is a sign of progress for a monk but it’s only a few steps up on the ladder. True advancement stops separating life into compartments and sees the hand of God in everything for our progress.
