Beautiful REAL Truck Blake! She harkens back to days before plastic, fiberglass, ecm's, sensors, man buns and political correctness. I'll be looking for a 67-72 myself soon. Too old to wrench on em anymore, just gonna buy it turn key. Good luck to you!

Thank you! Ive had a few of these now, 2 have needed quite a bit of work but one was more turn-key and it was a blast to cruise. Super fun trucks, I love em

Was the water level up or at a typical level? Seemed shallow with a lot of boat damaging obstacles.

Pretty typical from what I remember. We've done it a little higher than this, and also slightly lower. Lot of bumping into rocks either way. Kayaks do best

“The trout man” Wading in jeans and running shoes says it all. Abusing these trout, holding them up by the line and hook in the mouth? Then jamming your thumb into their mouth holding them up like some kinda trophy bass? Wtf are you doing?? Please stay out of our streams and creeks. 😡

Greetings, it is a beautiful pickup. I have a 67 here in Argentina. Here there is a 6-cylinder engine. There is no v8. I have had that pickup since 67 forma parte de mi vida la diferencia que hay con su pais es que aqui para reparar una pickup cueata muchisimo todo es muy caro los repuestos pero me encanto como quedo simple y bonita

Im thinking of hiking the CDT and bringing a truck/motorcycle to 'leapfrog' (drive, walk to other vehicle) My question is, i would like to get small moped (ct110) for ease of use, Im happy taking side roads with it, but am wondering how often I have to drive on freeways...and if its safe to take on a fwy...any advice?

i love the truck! did you use just standard c20 replacement springs or the heavy duty ones? also do you remember the offset of your wheels front and back?
@DoubleArrow

Thanks! I used C10 springs, C20's would've been pretty stiff. The offset of those Wheel Vintiques is close to 0, I can't remember off the top of my head though, sorry

This is a very well done video and makes me want to tackle this ride more than ever! Is it mostly gravel road other than where it got a bit muddy/wet further north? Any tips? Could it be easily done on a BMW f800gs or better on a dual sport dirt bike ?
@DoubleArrow
@DoubleArrow 5 ай бұрын
I bet an F800 would do just fine. It's mostly gravel/dirt but there are some tricky sections I'd avoid if you haven't ridden much off road; mostly in Montana and northern NM

Good times for sure. I had the Shinko 705's (so did my buddy on the nc700) and they did really well. I'd prefer something more aggressive for a BDR like the Motoz tractionator adventure or the new Tusk 2Track, but I had to compromise for a lot of road miles when I put those Shinkos on
