Loved your reaction to big Joe using vechile as scratching post. Sorry I am unable to give you all a hand but I can pray. This has been a weird year. My garden has only water melon, a few cukes & okra is already to mature to eat so i cut all the pods off & hope for more it’s not usually ready til late July. Things will get better for every one & everything it just will take time you’ll have a beautiful week. 🤚❤️

The state that uses those big street rollers to sweep the streets normally donates the ones they are going to trash. They’re made out of a hard plastic, ranchers in Alabama are using them for their cattle, maybe check with your county about getting some for the Bison to scratch on?

Love all your videos, and that trip on the hey bike was awesome, but I've got to be honest, i was a little nervous you weren't wearing a helmet. Be careful.☺️

Have you ever looked into “low stress cattle working”? It’s based on cattle but might work on buffalo. Some interesting stuff. Just search it.

Wandered over here from Daniel's site. We have a bison farm nearby (I live in CT) and I think it's amazing anyone can wrangle those monstrous big animals. Bison are not to be taken lightly.

Look at those red dogs grow! And Cora...whew lad, she's a looker! I don't get to watch every video, but I'm so glad I found your channel, neighbor! I'm over here near Lake Eufaula and really need to get some bison meat. We raise hogs, sheep, dairy goats, rabbits and chickens...but we just don't have the room for a big 'ol red meat producer, so we hunt deer to fill that niche. I love bison, though. Yum.

HaHaHa, Good friends and neighbors, willing to help, priceless, your relationship, working together, support system, great folks. Admit it, they joined in for the fun and excitement. They will be telling the story of their exploits in the Great Bison Escape of 2023 for the next 30 years. Just thinking about it puts a huge smile on my face. The entire neighborhood has had an enchanting bonding adventure.

I built a lot of fence when I was younger. A tip if I may. Weld a heavy weight on top of your T-post driver. Slamming the driver down with the extra weight will hammer that post easier and faster. If I remember correctly ours had a pipe fitting or 2 welded to the top then a disc of about 3/8 to 1/2 inch steel plate dropped in the top of the fitting, then several pounds of hot lead was poured in the upper end of the fitting. Total added weight was only about 5-8 pounds, but it made a noticeable difference. A minor plus is that will build your upper body strength too. Folks will start calling you Dusty Hulk if you build enough fence. Our driver was a homemade affair without the handles yours has and the body was longer (enabling us to lift it higher) and likely made of heavier walled pipe than the commercial version. Total weight of our driver was probably at least/ 15 pounds.

So sad to see Sulphur like that and agree it'll never be the same! Back in the 70's we in Fillmore Elementary School would take a field trip and walk up a mountain there and I can't remember where it was. Love seeing your beautiful 🦬! Really enjoyed your video!

I'm listening to you saying these are old buildings but in England, where we are blessed with so many medieval buildings, these look like Victorian age. I hope when they rebuild Sulphur that it's done in a nice way, no ugly new buildings allowed 😊

I completely understand how it feels to see your childhood hometown destroyed. My children hometown was destroyed by fire 5 years ago. Paradise, CA Campfire. That town will never be the same. All the 100’s years old pine tree gone, all of the town 170 years of history is gone.

It's a mind boggling miracle that the Artesian was spared. I have years worth of memories there. I had actually had a trip planned there the very next day after the tornado. I was watching a live stream of the tornado activity when someone commented in chat that Sulphur was decimated. A very surreal moment for me. I still can't make myself make the trip back to Sulphur; just too heart wrenching!

I'm confused. Why is it ok for Dunbar and Hoss to be together when it isn't ok for Dunbar and Big Joe to be together ? You didn't say anything about one bull (or more) kicking butt or anything like that about any of the bulls. You only spoke of getting each bull with the ladies of your choice, which I understand. When it comes to maneuvering bison, I'm a total tenderfoot and probably out to lunch. But I'm thinking it may be easier to put all the bulls in a separate compartment of the trailer, then move each herd of cows where you want them, then drop off each bull with the herd of cows of your choice. Trying to move an entire herd with the bulls hindering your moves at some point seems really frustrating.

The white stone walled building is salvageable. This is what you call defered maintenance. Some of these structures were built when there was no building code. That white stone wall needs to come down, stone and mortar walls less than a foot in thickness should not be used as support walls. Without brick ties these structures have a tendency to crumble because concrete and stone have poor stretch resistance. It’s fine when they are compressing each other but if you hurls a tree branch into them there is no compression below the damaged area and it crumbles. The sagging wooden floors and walls can be jacked up, that’s not a problem. Used to do it all the time in remodeling. You can build A pillar out of 2 x 4’s and put a structural beam running from pillar to pillar and tie it into the wall, using metal strapping. The wall needs a OBX sheathing and brick ties and you can probably salvage most of the stone. Haven’t seen the roof but it probably needs a new one, and some new windows. The Studs they used to put in buildings pre WWII are a hell of a lot stronger than studs today. One of those buildings you passed is a classic example of what the Fire Marshall here don’t like. A metal trellis roof structure resting on cements walls. You see a lot of these around here where the fire Marshall has gone back in and made them put metal support beams in the walls or between the walls. These buildings are dangerous in all kinds of ways. In fires the metal tend to warp cause fairly rapid room collapsed, they are subject to rust when exposed to excessive moisture. . . .
