Thank you for the video. I have a 2023 KX250 & I am still trying to get used to it. It's been about 38 years since I have ridden a dirt bike and that was a 1980 Honda CR80. So far I am having difficulty getting used to the height, tip-overs, and emergency stops as well as getting on and off smoothly. Right now, I am also trying to get used to throttle control the clutch, and the power of the bike. Today, I had continuous kills when I tried to start off. I over-throttled once and learned the hard way about that power. Thank you for the information you have provided here. It is very helpful.

What if it's the clutch arm itself that's super loose
@user-lp7kq5fh9hКүн бұрын
I'm having a problem with the 'snap'. I broke the one arm off the clutch pressure plate (didn't have a clutch holding tool, and the impact driver wasn't doing it so braced the plate by the 4 'arms' - don't do that). Anyway, I got a new clutch pressure plate but it isn't 'snapping' like the old one did, and as in the video... It squished completely flat as if it has snapped but just falls apart when turned over... I tried putting the whole assembly back in but it sort of separates... Not sure if this is OK or how important the 'snap' is.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

a plastic fender is most likely molded so there would be no surface finish, i dont think theres a way to really bring that back unless its remade. you can polish but your essentially making microscratches and trying to blend them. Since there is no scratches to begin with and you will always see them new will always look shiny and buffed will be dull. No clear coat or paint to work with like on auto paint ps. why did it have to be the new 2017 plastics hurt a bit to watch u ruin $300 and as a car detailer ill be trying what we use at work might be a good idea to sell it to mx folks if its better than axetone cuz i use that at work as well

Great tutorial man. I'm a ripper. On everything I ride. And I need something I can eventually rip on and I've kind of decided on a yz 125 2 stroke. I've ridden cruser bikes and street bikes but never dirt bikes. I've always had a fourwheeler but I've been obsessed with dirt bikes recently. It's nice to see what the limits on this bike are on both ends. Keep up the good work brother.

So if you have a 600 litre ( water volume ) tank and you need × 5 times the cycle rate ( using Herbie overflow ) ..what is the thickness required in the primary ( Siphoning ) and emergency pvc pipes, so that the Siphon remains as quite as possible without water crashing. Also what type of overflow box ( same as yours ) should i use. I am doing freshwater fish tank with sump. If it's a 5ft tank ..how big ( dimension ) should the sump be?

Do you know why my bike still has 60 psi its a 2000 yz125 and we just did a full top end rebuild the compression tester isnt broken or anything and we did everything right new gaskets and everything so would you know why it still has 60 and do you need to get it broken in for the compression to go up or what?
@gohobby993428 күн бұрын
Could be a few things...Did you use a bore gauge to measure the size of your cylinder to make sure it was in spec? It's quite possible that your cylinder is old and worn and now "bigger" than it was 24 years ago when the bike was new. The new piston could be just a bit too loose now. Did you buy the correct piston? They make a few different sizes that vary by just a few hundredths of a mm to account for cylinders of slightly different sizes. Your cylinder might have been bored out ever so slightly by a previous owner to remove scratches or whatever. It may not be the stock size anymore. Another thing is your ring gap. If it's too big of a gap, you'll lose compression. Those are a few ideas.
@braydenhoffman28 күн бұрын
@@gohobby9934 ok thank you we checked the cylinder and it was in spec and we male sure we bought the right piston and we even tool the cylinder to a shop to make sure it was good and they said it was but im not sure about the ring gap ill check that soon

Hot foot moto makes reproduction reed block manifolds for it. My friend had an 87 had a gas on it. The clutch parts are the same as the kx60. Plates basket etc. Btw it's a 84 the 85 had silver frame color.

the comparison really shows the seat to peg difference. don't be fooled by the tall seat height on the KX. it's a much smaller bike in reality, and not just because of the smaller wheels. also note that we are showing the 21" front wheel version of the KLX. the 19" front KLX model uses the same frame, but the real world benefit of the bigger wheels is a huge deal. a taller rider who gets the 19" model by mistake would be hugely disappointed in how it handles the trails. the large wheels change everything for the better if you're taller.

I’m 13 and 5”9 could I fit on a 250
@gohobby9934Ай бұрын
There are 5'9" professional riders who ride 250's, however, they can't reach the ground without leaning the bike way over and 1 footing it. You will be way up on your tippy toes, or needing to 1 foot it.
