Last night I was disturbed by one of these "are you a good person" KZfaq shorts where a guy dropped his wallet as he walked past women and if the woman stole the wallet they'd get a full body electric shock that had them seizing on a park bench until they removed the wallet from their pocket. What if those women had heart issues and died? How dangerous are we willing to be for clicks? 🤮

I watch your vlogs for the career girlie advice like in this episode. Great talk about remote work/life balance. I just recently switched jobs and I had an unplanned 2 week break between the last day at my previous job while waiting for my BG check to finalize at my new job. I am so grateful for that break, I was burnt out and didn't realize how my previous job was literally working me to death, just like you said. This place set unreachable expectations and didn't ever really give you any praise, always making you try harder and do more to chase that validation. It was draining me so much and my family suffered by only having a fraction of me at the end of the day. And weekends were never enough to fully recover. I am so happy I switched jobs!!!!! In this new role I will definitely set better boundaries!!!! More career girlie talk please!

I’m right here with you girl. Luxury prices are absurd. I just read an article on the actual cost associated with making the bag. This makes it eve mn more appalling. I do plan on getting a LV never-fold. I’ve always wanted that one and is the only one o could truly justify as o would primarily use it for work/ travel. I may invest in a pair of shoes but other than that I’m good would contemporary high-end (coach). Unfortunately I cannot do replicas, knockoffs etc. It’s tempting yours looks good. I just cannot wrap my head around it. However, I have considered a replica of the LV bum bag. But we will see.

The vest - denim shorts, sandals/sneakers, earrings, a fedora, and a cute bag. The yellow dress - sandals, green purse in your closet, and sandals/sneakers. Put your hair up in a bun, baseball cap, fedora or even a printed headscarf. Same thing with the black dress, play with different elements (sneakers/sandals, colorful bag etc.).

CC - step out of your comfort zone with the clothes. The barrel jeans look great - maybe go up a size and see how it fits. Wear with the white tank you just had on or a longer tank top, a light-weight overshirt. In the fall/winter, doc martens or something similar, a sweatshirt & leather jacket. Finding one's fashion sense is all about trial & error. Social Media has lost of fashion inspirations.

Dave is very much out of touch on most things, especially buying a house. Most people cannot afford a 15 year mortgage or finance a car for 3 years. I think he's out of tune with the cost of living and how it affects low and middle class people. Most of us are just struggling to make it from one paycheck to another.

I think it depends on your kid. The interest is wild, but I wouldn’t want to throw my money away either. Entitlement is real and I’ll be damn if I throw my money away if my kid isn’t really serious about their education.

I didn’t make official goals this just mental( decluttering my house, prioritize self care and exceeding, read, no/ low buys, using things up, secure a new job/ increase income) I’ve done well. Now I’m ready to put it on paper and create a vision board. I have professional, personal and financial goals! Happy for your and all your progress. For the goal you didn’t meet give yourself grace. Ki downloaded atomic habit but have yet to read or listen to it smh😮 I do have my eyes on the author Karen Ryan “ Before I let go” and “ This could be us”. Great update Cece. I’m rooting for you girl. We have like goals! I get it compartmentalize and baby steps. The small wins are so important! I haven’t bought any clothes or fullsize perfume. Even with that I’ve only purchased one travel size perfume and that was doing the Sephora sale. I’ve been doing pretty good with makeup, I have purchased a couple things here and there but nothing major. I’ve been getting through hair, skin and body care. Empty’s galore! No new purchases unless I’m out ( conditioner) is women can spend some money. I’m still doing my own Nails’s and I did my own rid all Winter and Spring, and so far this Summer. However I will be getting my first pedi if the year this weekend. I’m celebrating hair, brows and feet. I’m proud of us! You got this!
