WRONG! You'r gonna twist your bow eventualy! A stringing cord comes very cheap, few dollars, and your multi dollar bow does not get damaged.

closer to yor body means there is less of a moment on your arms (greater resistance). shortening gives your arms more power by reducing the leverage against them. GREAT TIP.

Such an astoundingly helpful video. I left my recurve strung for far too long and remembered this video, and got my 15 year old to watch it and do it for me. He got it first go. He was very proud. It's like learning an ancient magic trick 😊 Super cool, thank you.

Thanks for this tutorial. I give you an A- for content, voice, speed, demo, and iPad removal. Why did you make fun of pretty? The color of the case was the deciding factor when I purchased this several years ago? Diarrhea brown wouldn’t have persuaded me, neither would puce green. Pretty is as pretty does.

Here is a solid tip for everybody. Get a simple bow stringer different for longbows, and recurves, and very cheap. Do not, ever, string a bow like this guy is showing. Use a bow stringer. That would be the recommendation of anyone who knows what they are doing, and every bow manufacturer. Just ignore this video. This guy is incorrect. I am deadly serious. Use a bow stringer.

Its been nearly a decade since i had a working recurve bow. Im in my mid twenties and only just received a new one as a gift. I was ecstatic but had forgotten how to string a bow in this way, because my only working bow was a compound. Thank you because this helps immensely, while i was a bit trepidatious at first due to the fear of snapping the limbs, i was able to string it with a fair amount of ease. Once again, thank you for the short but very helpful lesson.
