Things have certainly changed from the day when the best of 409s barely ever saw 11.99! And that SURE ain’t no BW T10!😂😂😁😁🤓😎👴🏻

I had a 61. 62. 63 Chevy impala great cars the 283. And 327 we're powerful the only problem was with the rear end housing the upper support which was only one after drag racing would break loose from frame
@johnnyriv626 сағат бұрын
That is totally true. This car has had a second one added, they are tubular and adjustable, and the crossmember they mount to has been braced to the frame.

My first car was a 1965 impala SS convertible stick with buckets, black 😊 oh yeah I got the car free from a service station that took it from a dead beat customer 😊 he removed the 327 and the box, so I took it to my high school auto shop , and put in a dual quad 409 😊😊

Back in high school I drove a mint condition 13,000 original miles 63 Biscayne, but it only had a 230 six in it. Every Camaro, mustang, and challenger on the road would try to race me, and just take off laughing. One day a friend of mines cousin came to visit and had an almost identical looking 63 impala with a heavily massaged 409 in it. When he took me for a ride, this same guy in his Camaro that had been harassing me pulled up beside us reving his engine. Ole boy had a three on the tree, through that beast up in second and I swear it almost lifted the whole right side of the car off the ground. After that no one ever messed with my 63 again!

Never been a chevy fan, except for a few select years or engines. I was only turning 7 when my aunt ordered her '62 Impala 409 4-speed. 1st service job the plug was left out, dude left the shop for something, burnt the engine. As constant customers that were now MAD the dealer put in a 409hp replacement he'd just got in for an order, said that guy could wait. My aunt, likely never spun a tire in snow with that car, but my cuz and I could appreciate what it was even with her granny driving. Do wish she'd of just loaned it to my mom atleast once for a grocery store run, we'd of found out what it would do. Mom had no worries about driving a car at what it could do, my friends always wanted rides home with me and mom. She had her '63 Galaxie 500 XL 427 4-speed at that same time.

Awwww. I remember when Curt Landis lived across Hall Blvd from Russ Chevrolet. Fired up his Chevelle once in a while and then he pulled hooligan moves in whatever truck he had in the lot next to his house…

Considering a Jeffco for my 56. Can you give me sound advice as to if you would change anything, and if you were to build another car would you stay with the Jeffco. Thanks for your input. From Pacific Raceway area.

I’m very happy with the Jeffco. I haven’t had a need to tear it apart yet. I wouldn’t change anything at this point. Good luck with your build. If I can answer anything I will. Hit me up here.
