I would say so. The inside stays dry when I pressure wash it.

So was that hose under warranty? How are the hoses and couplers on the 6168? Any odd ball dimensions or pretty much standard measurements as either American or metric? What caused that leak anyway? Tractor still holding up good? Debating that model or the MT5.73 it also has a subframe from what I seen so I am thinking if it will take a backhoe then I will get the 73 if not then the 68.

Steve k, yes it was under warranty. I took this vid to show him the leak and he ordered the hose and sent it to me. I installed the new one. It seems that section of the hose was defective. I spliced the old one to get me back to work while the dealer ordered the new one. The hose split again right next to where it split earlier. Luckily the hose was long enough to cut out about 8” and splice it together and then it held. The connections are metric or British straight thread, but my hydraulic-shop has them in stock. The throttle pedal went bad a couple weeks later, dealer sent me a new one. Apparently LS got a bad batch of those and they would go bad within the first couple years. They were used on all their tractors. They have been using a new one for a couple years now. It was a 5 minute job to swap it out. No other problems. I have been working it hard mowing this spring.

I bought mine before they had the MT5 machines. I would have bought a P series, but I needed the backhoe and it wasn’t an option for anything bigger than the 6168. The MT573 looks awesome, but my 6168 has done everything I have asked I finally maxed the loader out yesterday pulling old posts out of the ground. My neighbor broke his Deutz loader pulling the same posts, but mine jerked them up. One was stubborn, but after pushing it a little bit, it came up. Turns out, some had put like 5 bags of cement in the hole and it was 4 feet deep.

Ouch lol. Yeah I saw a subframe on the xp8101 in September 19 and dealer confirmed it can accept a backhoe now. It’s in their order form last I saw. You may commence drooling now🤪👍

Thanks for the info i'm considering the same tractor , would you buy it again ?
@bajaDave4 жыл бұрын
I would. It’s done everything I’ve ever asked of it. No real problems. One hose was defective and the throttle pedal had to be replaced. LS has gone to a different pedal assembly because so many had the same problem. The new tractors come with the new pedal.

recommend? I want to buy

DJ download I do recommend it. It’s still working fine, but did need a new throttle pedal. Dealer sent me a new one with a new part number. Seems they updated the part because many tractors had the same problem.

thanks for this review. you are right not much out there on the 6168. I have 340 hours on mine. I bought the backhoe also. I bought a 7 ft box blade and a set of forks from Everything attatchments. good american quality. especially the box blade. I dont have any complaints on the tractor. i did a lot of research before I bought the LS brand. best bang for the buck and good quality.

Martin Hill thanks for the comment. I bought several implements from Everything Attachments. I got their 78” box blade, a cat 2 post hole digger, spreader, cultipacker, and 84” rototiller. Great experience all around.

David Wilburn I also bought the same size box blade from everything attachments and the LS 84" rototiller. that box blade is built much better then the other brands. at first I bought a green one and it got bent up the first week. they would not take it back. I have moved an extensive amount of dirt over two years with the everything attachment box blade with no problems
