It doesn't sound like a pre-blister hotspot. Read this for context: www.blister-prevention.com/blogs/treatment/hotspot-not-blister-formation
@Blister-Prevention10 күн бұрын
Here's what you need to know about and do at the hotspot stage of a blister. www.blister-prevention.com/blogs/prevention/pre-blister-hot-spot Hotspot treatment is exactly the same as blister prevention. It's just implemented at the very last opportunity you have to prevent this blister. Essentially, you have to implement the prevention strategy you have planned for this blister location. So, search for your blister site eg: under big toe, and implement that prevention (or go here: courses.blister-prevention.com/courses/fix-my-foot-blisters-fast). Different anatomical sites will benefit from different preventions. That's the key, if you really want to prevent a blister, and if you really want to make your current blister feel better and heal faster. But, as I said in my first comment, your symptoms don't feel like a pre-blister hotspot.

I play football in the summer around 30 Celsius and I always get blisters how can I prevent it?
@Blister-Prevention28 күн бұрын
Depends where they are. For best results, hone in on the blister site (search the best preventions for eg: blisters under big toe), then nuance for the activity, rather than asking what's the best blister prevention for football. courses.blister-prevention.com/courses/fix-my-foot-blisters-fast

@BlisterPrevention Hi Rebecca and all - thanks for such a comprehensive and great set of videos, not sure if you have a June Q/A planned. Curious on your advice on this situation: new job requires steel-toed waterproof boots with very little time to break in. Within 2 days, have large posterior heel blister on each heel, both deroofed. I'm using large colloidal bandages reinforced at edges with tape, but because these same shoes are required for the job, I'm predicting and concerned that the boots will re-injure the same blister spot and likely not allow the bandages to stay put and the sites to heal. Are there specific types or applications of colloidal bandages that you'd recommend in this situation (in USA)? Thanks very much!
@Blister-Prevention29 күн бұрын
Hey Steve. Yep, June Q/A starts in 10 minutes. For posterior heel blisters in boots, get the rectangle ENGO Patches, round the corners a bit more than they already are, making them really big oval shaped patches, and stick them inside your boot. I'm quite confident in saying that will be the end of yur blister issue. ENGO Rectangle Pack: www.blister-prevention.com/products/engo-blister-patches?variant=41424541712420 Application demo video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j9upiZapvbHKep8.htmlsi=In_46Rl9r5DzdP9q

@@Blister-Prevention Appreciate the quick reply and yes, saw you mention those in some other videos, not familiar, but will give them a try and hopefully a combo of those and the colloidal bandages will help out. THANK YOU

I poured boiling water upper than my right hand wrist and now a huge egg-sized blister appeared after two days. Thanks to your video I know deroofing is harmful but currently, the blister fluid is more than normal and somehow likes to testicles dangling from my wrist:) meanwhile no pain. Could I use syringes to suck out extra fluid?
@northernswedenstories10282 ай бұрын
Ive tried these and cut them as per the instructions (cutting a small edge off and leaving it long enough to cover the whole toe), but they still fall off after 5mins of walking. Im tempted to take it a step further and actually modify my shoe insoles so that they have some sort of physical separator sewn to the insole bed where my small toe is
@Blister-Prevention2 ай бұрын
Use a bit of tape to hold it on. Or move on to something different - but these are your best chance.

Are tou saying that its best to wear two pairs of toe socks, one on top of the other?

Thanks for clarifying about the scab. I’m a wilderness first responder and treat blisters all the time, but no one has ever mentioned that particular issue of keeping the wound area moist.
@northernswedenstories10282 ай бұрын
The issue with this method is that the tape will just come off when you start sweating.
@Blister-Prevention2 ай бұрын
Very likely. You can use Compound Benzoin Tincture or cover with Fixomull Stretch to help hold it on. But regardless, it will stretch. I find the biggest issue is discomfort, as explained here: www.blister-prevention.com/blogs/prevention/hold-a-curly-toe-straight

@@Blister-Prevention yeah I've tried basically everything. I'm a long distance hiker and my small toe gets destroyed after like 20km if I don't baby it. Just gets crushed constantly. I literally have to cut a hole in the side of all my trail runners to allow my small toe extra space when I use a silicone toe cover

Thank you for studying blisters deeply enough to be able to condense the important bits into a few minutes! 🙏 Incredibly high quality. I will try some of the prevention methods you recommend, starting with some pads!

Wow I just saw this, this is a great idea, I have been using toe spacers, which have straightened some permanently, taken almost 4 years but it is better than it has been and now I am trying my both my 4th and 5th toe. the toe spacers work but as soon as I take them off they start to curl again. I am gonna to try this with my toe spacers and hope it helps.
