Question. nice video and I understand and agree with all the steps. But, I have 2 1/4 acres of grass, 18 zones with 9 heads per zone on the irrigation system. Central Idaho. How DO I OVERSEED? No way to do all the steps you did, and if there was a way it would cost $19,000.00. What happens if I just simply broadcast 200 pounds of seed? No other steps, just broadcast 200 pounds of seed? Give it a try and see, or complete waste of 200 pounds of grass seed?????????

Your lawn looks great. But one cost you’re not including with this video is your time invested. Compare the time that it will take to maintain it vs how much you earn per hour in your job. Include those costs with the price of your lawn supplies.

Beautiful lawn!! What variety of Kentucky Bluegrass did you use on your front lawn? I was disappointed with my front lawn renovation last fall. I used a premium seed 50% Kentucky Blue 50% perennial rye. And after 7 weeks I am still trying to get rid of all the perennial rye seed stalks and stems. It gives my lawn a brown cast. Next month I would like to overseed with Kentucky Blue seed with the darkest color I can find.

What do you think of mixing the two? They supposedly look enough alike that it won't look permanently patchy, but they do have different characteristics, including drought and disease resistance, so possibly complementary.

Have to admit it - when I saw this video to watch, for some reason "blowing lines of coke" wasn't on my radar. Speaking of TruGreen - I moved into a new home in Nov and in early spring I thought I saw someone on the property - turned out they were doing a treatment on the lawn and then left the bill near the door. (they added that I had winter mold on the lawn - the horror). The reason for this was that the a-hole daughters of the owners (they were acting PoAs) who doubled as real estate agents (probably counting bathrooms was a hardship) - neglected to advise anyone that they moved - we continued to receive their mail (which was good as I used as hostage when we had a move-in issue) and they never advised any services - and TruGreen was one of them. I called up TruGreen to have them stop and told them they are a-holes and you probably will never get your money. And yes - your explanation and high-fives is valid. (if you google "youtube market place lawn care" you will see a video on this exact issue). Thanks for the info - I don't know much but want to grow more lawn and force the weeds out - and your phosphorus comment was great - I definitely have weed concerns - along with the iron coloring. Another major issue I have is in part of the yard there are mini-hills/valleys - hard to walk nicely there - My dad used to have a round device you push around the lawn to compact the soil during early spring but in lieu of that I heard you can use soil to fill in the valleys and then seed. thanks for the info.

I work for trugreen they hire anyone and everyone, all morons that they have to hire. Watered down products (i double my pressure on my hose for better results.) all the videos tru green gives in training for new hires no one pays attention too… managers just sign off cause they are paid too.. I’ve worked for good companies and understand what lawns need.. corporate companies for lawn care aka trugreen…. They suck will burn your lawn and kill your shrubs… trust a local company

Has anyone had the bolt receiver on the reel cartridge shear off? I bought the Edwin 2.1 55 last spring 2023. Towards the end of the season I was cleaning the cartridge and noticed the part on the cartridge that one of the bolt receivers that is used to connect the cartridge to the chassis had fallen off. It was one their 6-blade reel. WTF? Now the season was over. Contacted Swardman and luckily it was under warranty. They sent me a whole new 6-blade reel cartridge. By the time I got it the season was over. I thought it was cool they didn’t ask any questions. I sent them pictures. New season 2024. Installed new cartridge. Working great until this past Saturday. Less than a dozen mows this season. I started feeling a lot of vibration in the handles halfway through the mow. I thought it was the engine. I stopped and started checking all the bolts on the engine. Everything was fine. I took out the reel cartridge to check everything inside there. Took cover off the belt pulleys. Everything is good. I picked up the reel cartridge to reinstall it and noticed the bolt receiver lying on the ground, crap. Now what?am I doing something,hang wrong? Has this happened to anyone else using a Swardman mower? I’ll contact Swardman again, but why does this keep happening? I’m mowing KBG at. About 3/4”. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. Now I have to go back to my Honda until either they send me another cartridge or I’m forced to buy a new one. 😢

If you’re using the Scott’s Elite spreader, and you’re activating the edge guard on it, which decreases the amount of product on the right side and you end up when you’re completely finished with less product on the left as you do the right that simply because you restricted the flow of product on that side

I did a dummy mistake and used the wrong setting of 7 instead of 3!😢🤦🏻‍♀️I ended up using the entire bag in my small lawn ~1k sqft maybe. Been watering it like crazyyy for 1-2hrs the last 4days. Noticed you said its a quick release? Maybe that helps where its washed out more easily? You think after watering for 4days, I should be ok? Or should I keep going for the wk? I did see a few spots before but overall my lawn doesnt look like a complete disaster yet…

Corn speedwell is striking my front lawns again (though dandelions and crabgrass seem to be minimal) . Must not have went heavy enough on the pre-emergent. This Trimec might be this year's herbicide I have delivered to my parents house in PA since we apparently aren't allowed to to have it here in NJ.
