Hmm. I could tell you some stories about your thumbnail pic to this video. Stories that happened a long time before O'Reillys Auto was there. My wife was raised at Muleshoe. Done a lot of cruising there too.

Clovis to Jennyslipper Town. I've worn out a lot of tires and a couple of vehicles driving between these two towns. Another good video. Thanks.

Amarillo has some truly lovely summer evenings. At 3600 ft elevation and low humidity evenings are usually wonderful. It is a fantastic opportunity for a big hay bale beer garden just out of town with national touring bands and a big stage. But no one seems interested in such things... Most locals hang out with a small group of friends who seem uninterested in ANY art form. I dont believe the town has had a nationally touring rock band in a decade. We literally had Herp Albert as our last " big" show. Could they find anyone more nerdy and laughable? Yes 109 year old Herp Albert!!!! Not kiddin'!!! Eeeek But if you just want to raise a bunch of young'ns, this might be your place.

@@DeceleratedTravel sure thang, The town doesn't offer much but drive only 15 miles south and you discover the 2nd largest canyon system in the U.S. Palo Duro Canyon and it's like named state park is breathtaking. Drive 40 miles north and you discover Lake Merideth and Alibates national wildlife area. They are both lovely. This area can be heavenly for an outdoorsman who wants to see some pristine nature.

I was lost until you turned down Main. Too many years have passed since I was cruising in Clovis in my '68 Chevy Nova with my then future wife. Some 55 years ago. Good video. Thanks.

Well good thing you didn't take South Montgomery St. a little father. You might not have made it to well by Hixon Lumber. The log trucks have destroyed the road and Hixon won't pay anything to help fix it and the city can't fix it either. 😢

This is a scary town. White pvc crosses in front of homes and businesses alike, you pass more than 50 of them. I’m a Christian but it has a cultish Children-Of-The-Corn feeling. We NEVER stop there.

I have driven that route hundreds of times. I’ve lived in Orange and later in Bridge City. I graduated from Bridge City High School in the 60s. I sold my home there after my husband passed away. It was a nice quiet town then. It’s grown considerably since then. 16:21
