I’m interested in this kit. But I don’t want it to be so much higher than stock.

Do you have the coil buckets for the excursion? I’m in Phoenix, you can use my excursion as a guinea pig if you haven’t produce them. Building a very nice excursion with 2016 front clip. I have the superduty axles.

So on the 99 to 04 what all is needed for the swap??

Bummer ! I found a unit from Gerber designs but the lead time is a bit much. Have you looked at other makers ? Seems odd that obs types are few and far between.. Maybe a modified one from a newer ford would work .. Let me know if you have any ideas.. Thanxxx.

You will be able to tow anything you want with the 460 big block and 4.88 gears 😂.

How close is this front axle conversion kit to fitting an OBS F Superduty? Ya know, replace the stock dropped axle and leaf springs?

I'm doing a f550 4x4 axle on my 89 F350. Currently looking for the right combo of steering parts so I can run the axle lock to lock on the knuckle stops. I'm almost 100% positive there is a different steering gearbox and pitman arm for 06 to 10 f350s that were custom ordered with dually axles. Currently driving the parts house crazy with p/n's and comparisons. I'll let you know what I end up with.

Try looping the hose forward instead of backwards. That’s how I did mine and it kept it away from the exhaust manifold.

I rented a big pitman arm puller from AutoZone. The puller arms would not fit between the pitman arm and the gear box. I used a grinder and a cutting flap disk to cut into the old pitman arm to allow the puller arms to fit in the space between there. Only had to remove maybe a 1/8 of an inch on each side of old pitman arm.

I'm currently swapping a f550 axle in my 89 f350, and I'm down to trying to find the right gearbox/pitman arm combo.

Enjoyed your video. Those casters look exactly like what I need to use under my 20 Ton Harbor Freight press. I have the variable speed reversible Vevor. It works really well. I hooked up the coolant reservoir and filled it with machining coolant that is made from concentrate mixed 1:9 with water. It really helps to cool the annular cutters and make them last longer.

I know this video is old I bought my truck 500 bucks rear end locked up ONLY thing wrong with it ik for a fact used to work on the truck guy was gonna scrap it lol Lucky for me I don’t have a lot of stuff in the way for pipes will be easy also guy put a t-4 kit on his e99 truck truck asked me if I wanted everything just gave it to me ! I have everything other than a cooler right now

I used 3-IN-1 Lock Dry Lube and it did the trick! I sprayed it in up all over around the doorhandle inside. It works like a charm now.

We just got the same truck but mine is diesel, 🎉🎉🎉mine is white with gold stripe and ranch hand bumpers and super duty rear axle and mirrors.

I just got an f250 that had this rear swap done. The e brake was never hooked up. Is there a middle piece to connect the two rear lines to the front line? Any advice would be appreciated

My vote would be option 1. Was thinking of going the over lander route with my 97 4x 7.3 with 112k. Now I’m thinking of getting rid of it. Maybe you’ll re-motivate me.
