It all comes down to "How do you consume photography?". Do you use only your phone or do you have a nice 5k large monitor to view your pictures on? Do you print and what size? The phone is more than capable if you use small size screen or small prints. You will only notice the difference if you have larger screen 16" plus and do prints A4 up. Let me know if you have other opinion - would love to hear :)

After the first render I get the whole motion video playing on my desktop but when I’m trying to speed down the video in da Vinci I have ended up getting an incomplete motion video like the last part of my video is missing! Can you tell me why this could be happening? Thank you 💝

Thanks so much for the advice. I hope these settings will be suitable for daytime walks going from light to dark areas in the forest. I mount my camera to a back pack strap so I need HB switched on and so far I have had problems with jittery weird looking footage. Cheers 😀

Videos that praise a product to the skies are more successful on KZfaq. These are usually videos with nice pictures and how much fun you had, but no hard data. That's why videos like this are very welcome.

Shit, if I put filters on mine and use the 180 rule the footage isn’t even usable with rocksteady on.

The built in stabilization on the Dji Action 4 and the Insta360 Ace Pro do not produce the smooth results of Gyroflow; they just don't. It's an extra step in the production but it's worth it.

curious if you used the PRO setting in the camera app or the stand alone ExpertRAW app on the Samsung which takes multiple exposures and combines them along with some processing (so not raw but it spits out a DNG at around 100MB at 50mp so quite editable) I have this exact same camera / phone combo and like to hear which shooting mode they use on the Sammy

I own an ace pro. You set it to medium sharp and the images are perfect. Really good video and image quality. Unbeatable by current opposition.

The best camera is the one you have with you. So if you have time, opportunity and enough money to use a big one, that's fine. But most of the time the only one available is your smartphone cam - and comparing the ones of today to let's say 5 - 10 years ago, they're amazing.

Apple Raw does much better

It’s funny you took all this time just to dis this camera. When looking at the footage is just fine. And the App is so simple to use. AP is more open to future firmware upgrades than DJI

solution ? Don't shoot in Slog2, HLG PP is superior in dynamic range. Also enable 2020 gamma assist which is a lut and doesn't burn it into the footage.

HLG is a pain with color. as standard it comes in BT2020, converted to 709 skin tones look wrong. Slog/Sgamut colors FTW

DJI FPV in manual is true freedom. That thing is amazing and can really maneuver and navigate. I think you need more practice. The avata 2 is all about capturing the moment, the fpv is all about the moment.

awesome video. question, does it bother you that with the insta360 you have to do an extra step by editing first with the insta360 app, render, and then transfer to premiere pro and then reedit, cut, etc. while the osmo cam, its mp4 direct transfer to premiere pro? i kinda want an insta but the extra step is making me have second thoughts. whats your opinion

Since you are using Sony camera, then you should use a Sony phone to compare.

Ive been having issues with my gopro hero 10. After 2 years of no issues its now doing some strange things and freezing up when recording. After lots of resets and trying every version of the firmware and different sd cards I figured out that its something to do with the Hypersmooth. If i record without the hypersmooth on the camera works fine. So having discovered this i am now going to try using gyroflow to stabilise my footage in post. It seem the logical option as im not in a position to be buying another action cam at the moment . just installed it and goping to capture some test footage while out and about over coming days.

Great video, people apparently don’t know what a pause , rewind button or playback speed is. I rather have a 5min video as opposed to a 20min video that I’m gonna shut down after 2min because there’s not enough info or dumb basic explanations.

Please try the raw files from the smartphone. There is an app for Samsung, the Galaxy Expert Raw, that delivers DNG 16bit raw. It's in the Samsung own app store. I think comparing the raw files from both would be fair

Just use a faster shutter speed. The fastest possible in the situation. Add motion blur in post.
