I was there then the night he played this at Union Chapel. It was his first solo gig, just Brett and his piano.

Emily es una gran pianista que hace que su piano hablé desde su corazón, John Miles sigue teniendo el mismo caudal de voz aunque pasen los años. Fue hermoso ver este vídeo👏💖🙌🎤😘

Absolutely stunning performance, glad I live in the epoch of this new Mozart.. -> I'm very interested in the piano score of this particular blended piano arrangement if it was ever written out by Ms Bear or Mr Wayne Marshall who played it in '97 with John Miles also at night of the proms.

Did you notice how much she was smiling during the whole song? She is not nervous like most of us would be, but really loving what she is doing and simply sharing it with about 55,000 of her closest friends! Amazing!

yes, in deed! It appears as if she is wondering about each tone she creates. For me, she is one of the best musicians I have ever met.

This song was composed by Eric Carmen based on the second part of 2nd piano concerto by Rachmaninoff. So in this rendition in particular I think Emily has put into it more from the original Rachmaninoff concert, than it is usually used in interpreting this song. And, I am guessing, some part of her own improvisation, towards the end of the solo part. Just beautiful!

Thanks for explaining that. I only understood the announcer saying "Rachmaninoff" and "Emily Bear." I didn't know this song was based on a Rachmaninoff concerto.
