Computer science actually doesn’t make good money because there are so many people with a background in it it’s become too competitive. The labor supply negatively impacts price you can expect. There are plumbers making way more money because no one is going into that field and it’s not compete. In fact there is a huge shortage of plumbers.

It is easy to change your major if it’s within a similar area. CS to ME, for example, is easy. CS to Law, you’re starting over from zero, minus whatever Gen Eds you’d done so far. Yes a CS degree can get you money, but the bachelors is not enough. The job market is heavily inflated with CS college grads. Also, CS is the single most demanding degree in all of college. Yes, worse than medical. Be prepared. While you’re in college, internships annd skill-building projects are your #1 priority. You will not get the skillsets you need in class. If you graduate without experience, it’s a worthless degree, nobody will hire you. Experience to put on your resume is your absolute top priority. The piece of paper is worthless otherwise. Good grades and personal projects will get you your first internship, your first internship will get you your next, your internships will get you a job out of college. If you don’t get internships, start doing personal projects. Again, the piece of paper is worthless without unique skills and a portfolio showing you can use them. On top of it all, there are many, many, many ways to make money without a college degree. I can not stress this enough, if you aren’t doing one of those fields, don’t go to college. And honestly, if you’re just doing the S or M, consider not going as well. If it’s law, honestly, the world would be a better place with fewer politicians and lawyers, just saying.

While I was reading the novel, I kept coming back to this video. I’ve probably watched this video over 30 times by now. This time, I finally finished the whole novel, and decided to watch from beginning to end once again, and it felt so sureal because finally, everything in the video made perfect sense. This video is the perfect summary for ORV because as you read, your reactions to this video morph from absolute confusion and bewilderment to “ohh yeah that’s exactly what happened there”
