Really? I just described my similar setup and KZfaq censors my comment. KZfaq is such a POS site.

My muscle memory with the Glock platform is ingrained! So when I added the red dot, it didn’t change with the height adjustment of my eye sight very much. Game changer for me for sure. With the Sig p365 xl the grip angle is different so a longer learning curve using the red dot but with enough dry time it has became easier to use.

I actually sleep with my NVG on, so that gives me a huge advantage in case if bad guys decide to break in. No, but really good points about potential to blinding yourself with a very powerful flashlight in a total darkness, especially if you just woke up in the middle of the night.

White flat ceiling in our home. I keep administrative lights in reach and in other locations around the house and my nightstand pistol, shotgun and AR15 all have WML's. I'm going to sell of half of my arsenal for a set of US Night Vision ARGUS Panoramic Night Vision Goggles and sit in my dimly lit garage, waiting. Ambushing isn't self defense but I'm betting on our state's Castle Doctrine. 🤣 Great perpectives, as always. Thanks for the great info from your life experiences.

Do you just leave the bag in the car or do you take it with you when you park somewhere? You're not concerned about your car getting broken into?

By that logic, leave your gun at home too. You’re probably not going to need it, especially when you don’t go out at night

For the know it alls and people who think there’s nothing else they can learn. Mike Glover is former Tomb Guard, Green Beret, CIF, Delta Force Operator, and CIA Contractor. Probably the most impressive and extensive military resume someone can have and he’s here humbly and quietly learning from someone who may or may not be showing him how to improve. Stay humble. You can always learn more.

I don't want to dismiss his experience in cqb, but he's wrong on so many levels. 1. Why is he seemingly recommending that citizens should confront home invaders? 2. Why isn't he recommending a better weapon than a pistol for home defense? 3. Other than weight, why would you want to limit yourself in either options or having no free hands to do anything else? While having a hand-held light is more important, there are so many benefits to WMLs that make it hard to justify not having one

I've learned a long time ago if something works that's what you should do. I've seen a guy hold his rifle real awkward looking but he was making hits quickly and consistently. That's what really matters. Besides I wouldn't presume to tell a SEAL he's not seating his stock properly

I really want to know what Mike has for the Winkler & Stryder that he carried into combat. I recently picked up a CRKT HZ6 for armed security work & have it on my vest. While I wish it was more of a 5-5.5" vs 6.5" blade it's just a solid purpose built knife.

I was born and raised in the most fk up places, gang infested neighborhood, I've seen people get shot and killed, I've seen someone breathe their last breath. Victim of numerous drive by shootings, I've had a gun put to my head, lucky to be alive. This happened in the good old USA. I don't own hand guns. I don't carry firearms, but I do carry a knife every single day. I suffer from hyper awareness due to the decades I survived living where I lived. I don't seek trouble, stay away from it, I can read where trouble is brewing and make my way out and away from these situations. If I ever ended up using my knife, they would feel it before they see it. Stay frosty and stay vigilant in today's world.

13:53 the stance DJ is in right here is perfect. In martial arts this is known and planting your foot to the center of the earth. It’s extremely hard for someone to push you off balance so this makes perfect sense with firearms. In Aikido they refer to this as part of the dynamic sphere. (Physics) In fact if you take this stance and have it down pat… you can have a friend stand in front of you and take pretty much any stance and you can use a single finger to throw them off balance by barely even applying pressure to your friend.
