In this video you guys talk about the seek outside stove. I thought I’ve seen a video where Ryan was talking about a different brand of stove he liked a lot. Maybe Argali? What do you guys prefer for a stove?

$1250 That price is absolutely ridiculous even for Dyneena What a Fucking Joke!
@GrittyGearAndPodcast
@GrittyGearAndPodcast Күн бұрын
@@zacharybell5496 - Sadly, it’s expensive-but show me where you’re finding Dyneema tipis for so much less in the year 2024. Dyneema material and the manufacturing has gotten ridiculously expensive. I don’t like gas prices either but it’s the way it is right now. Other companies have simply chosen not to make any shelters using Dyneema. Maybe that’ll be the direction PEAX goes as well. It might not make sense from a cost perspective to make a Dyneema shelter.

@GrittyGearAndPodcast Күн бұрын
@@garenartoun9003 - I own 3 Hilleberg tents. I never use them. Hberg is too heavy and doesn’t allow for a wood stove. Hberg has its uses but it’s not for hunting IMO. I want a warm and toasty fire inside my shelter. And I want the stove and the tipi to be feather lite. Hberg doesn’t provide that.
@garenartoun9003
@garenartoun9003 22 сағат бұрын
@GrittyGearAndPodcast agreed. Two different tents. For different purposes. I love almost all the products you review , but this one is insanely overpriced . I have a couple of hot tents and am looking for an ultralight one. Will purchase a seek outside bundle, which includes poles liner and stove for same price. Thanks for your effort.have a great hunting season.

@GrittyGearAndPodcast
@GrittyGearAndPodcast Күн бұрын
@@josephbaker4319 - I don’t blame you. There’s a reason that most companies have chosen not to build shelters out of Dyneema-it’s costly. Sylnylon is all good. Dyneema only makes sense for certain folks. There might not be a demand for Dyneema due to the cost of materials. We’ll see.

@@GrittyGearAndPodcast I was going to sell my sill tipi to a buddy and get the dynema unit but man that price point for a younger, budget minded hunter is just not reasonable....no way. Very cool product tho. Curious to see what the market dose in the future with the dynema. Happy hunting all!

I’m a Quivalizer fan to the max! As an old (61 yo) target archer, front weight = balance. A properly positioned back bar makes it set solid on my Lift 33. Feels better, shoots better, than my TRX34! Most cannot make the float stop, but we all can limit and control the float to our favor with proper bow balance. For me, the Quivalizer makes it happen, and for Western game at Western ranges, like dot shooting with my setup.

General back country hunting question. I have an area I want to hunt but don't have a tag in a unit this year. I want to just scout it because I will be near by during the season and have high draw odds for 2025. Is it against etiquette to go in and glass to learn the area during the season? Obviously I would not try to make any moves but just view and get the lay of the land. Also, any other etiquette I should think about to respectful of those actually trying to fill tags. I am an experienced Texas hunter and backpacker but next year will be the first time I try and do a backcountry hunt. Thanks and LOVE The videos!

If your not messing up peoples hunts I don’t see why anyone should care
2 күн бұрын
Find an open ridge or mountain top, glass, learn the movement corridors, find the bedding area, and identify ways you could stock and shoot if you had a tag. As long as you don’t interfere with those that have a tag, or even help glass if in the same area, you have every right to be in the high country! Enjoy the mountains and learn.

Why do you not have to wear blaze orange?
@GrittyGearAndPodcast
@GrittyGearAndPodcast 8 күн бұрын
@@IAmAMeateater - Blaze orange is not required in many areas and seasons that we hunt. We despise blaze orange laws-they should be abolished. It’s America-wearing blaze orange should be a choice not a requirement. I’d like the government to stop legislating everything we do. Less government, more freedom to choose. Some states understand this principle and some do not.
