Beautiful vehicle, with an EMI engine, but it was not the first muscle car, it is disputed between the '51 Oldsmobile and the '51 Studebaker Commander, I have not been able to identify which of the two got the v8 with cylinder head valves, they say it was Studebaker , but there is the doubt.

Seems like the Studebaker also came in 4-door configuration, so it is hard to argue it is a muscle car at all, and the C300 completely blows the Rocket 88 out of the water, so let's say the C300 was the first car to really FEEL like a muscle car.

You have a real piece of history here. The Chrysler 300 series was originally designed to compete in the 1000 plus mile Mexican Road Race in the '50's. Other USA makes also participated, notably Lincoln and Cadillac, but the Chrysler hemi v-8 was very competitive.

I love the grey. I gotta 63 custom to a split back window. Mine is the way i want it, dont care about anyone elses opinion. Its in primer and i am thinking that grey is cool color. Is it a vw color? Nice oval conversion!
