Why couldn't it do it automatically like on a 172?

CMD shouldn't be disconnected directly after touch down since it's designed to keep plane on centerline in low visibility condition as well as clear day ofc also.

when people post a video, the name of the video should be synchronized to the events happening in the video. i dont see an plane landing automatically but i see a multi function display with moving numbers. change the video name to BOEING MFD IN OPERATON. here is a real auto land video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jN6giMVkyNHUpKs.html

Having AOA displayed is a customer option, if that is installed, then RA shows below the localizer deviation.

Looks like a typical B737 "crash" landing. Thought the auto pilots would have done better. The 747 auto land was smooth as glass.

Why the altimeter scores 35meters while the aircraft is on the ground? Why the radioaltimeter is not moving at all but stays on 5000ft/ 1524mt? The only accurate thing seems to be the dme.

The countdown is the altitude in feet, which is a great help for the pilots, as they could keep their eyes on the runway, and don't have to look down on the instrument cluster on final approach/landing, but the rest of the sounds coming from the GPWS, they'd never want to hear.

why b737 has so small pitch on glideslope? I saw many a320 videos, airbus maintain pitch 2-4 degrees. Flaps on b737 is more effective?

For all the people talking about it being a 'hard' landing, think about this. The camera is zoomed in, on a small-ish display. Any type of movement after touchdown would be exaggerated due to the zoom level.

I hear the annunciator say 1,000 ft, but I see 2,170 ft on the right and 1,080 ft on the top - all at same time. Can you explain in so called simple terms if possible? Thanks for the video.
@akivatalansky2 ай бұрын
On the right is the barometric altimeter, which uses the atmospheric pressure to calculate height above sea level. The other number is the radar altimeter which gives height above ground level. Looks like the area is around 1,100 ft above sea level.
